Buserelin Side Affects

Post by ella »

Hi all

I just wanted to ask if anyone had nausea, dizziness, headaches and weakness while down regging on Buserelin. I've been on down reg for a month now in the last few days the side effects seemed to have worsened and I feel terrible.

When I went for my pre-stim scan on Monday I was told my lining was still too thick and I have to go back next Wednesday(17th) for another scan. They told me to expect another bleed before my next scan, but at present nothing has happened. Do you think these side effects are to do with the imminent appearance of AF?

Any ideas of what I should do?

thanks, love Ella

Hi Ella

Been back for another scan today and I'm still not ready for stims (but down from 12mm to 9mm). Last week they also told me I MIGHT bleed and I haven't. Also said I have a 10mm cyst on left ovary which might contain hormones which are stopping the buserelin working as quick????? God knows what's going on. I have to go back next Friday AGAIN.

Anyway, as for the side effects, my main ones have been headaches and bad temper but last time I did feel worse (probably cos the drug isn't working as well for me this time). So if you feel bad, it should be a good sign that things are progressing!

Take care, luv Rachel X

Ella

I just wanted to say that down reg does make you feel crappy and you do sometimes get a bleed.

I have often taken along time to down reg because I get alergies so the damn stuff never gets enough time to get up my nose.

The doctor has put me on the same drug that you sniff but I have had it in injection form and it seems to have done the trick quickly. In fact the down reg drug for injecting is about £20.00 cheaper.

Best of luck
Lucy
