Hi all,
I'm very new to the forum...So I am not aware of many new terms too..
Me(27) and DH(29) have been trying for about 18 months now, with no luck...We talked to our Ob-gyn regarding this...And she suggested to perform a few tests on us...
I was scheduled for a HSG test ( in which they check the tubes), but she was unable to perform it...She said that the opening in my cervix is so small that she is unable to even pass the catheter into it to inject the dye....With repeated attempts for couple of times, she could not complete it successfully...
She has referred me to a Reproductive infertility specialist for the further tests...I've no idea what all will be done..
Has anyone ever faced this problem before..?? Can this problem be treated..?? Has anyone who has gone through such problem been pregnant..??
No I haven't heard of that before, have you gone back to a different DR, as I had to be dilated before it was inserted but that seems strange!!!
Hope that it works in the end.....
Good Luck xxx
TTC 6yrs......Have jumped off the rollercoaster for now, too many BFN's and too much heartache, to keep going....Moving on to fulfil other dreams!!!

I had a very similiar experience with my HSG. It was done at an outpatient surgery center with a radiologist.
It was completely awful - in the end, they used a catheter they would use on a baby.
My advice - go to an RE who does these things every day. It made me super-paranoid when we did our IUI's because I thought they wouldn't be able to put the sperm inside. But it was no problem because they do that ALL the time.
