New Here from NC/ First IVF Consult Tomorrow

Post by Goldie »

Hello My name is Beth, I live in NC with my husband Eddie! I have no children thats living, my husband has a son and a daughter.

I am excited. My first IVF appt is in the morning at 9am with Doctor Toma at the North Carolina Reproductive Center in Cary NC.

I guess I will know tomorrow after noon what my protocol will be.

Hope to get to each one of you. Good luck on your IVF journey.

God bless!

Walsh! He really is nice. We have to pay for most of ours out of pocket as well. My insurance will cover my meds. And it paid for my consult and my b/w and Dh's b/w except, we had a $15.00 co-payment.

When are you going to start you IVF? We have to deal with the people on our 401K first, I guess I will have to submit a statement from Doctor Toma's office on how much the procedure costs and how much our insurance will pay and what we will have to pay out of pocket.

I pray God will bring you your little blessings very soon.

Love,
Beth

Walsh! Congrats on being 5 days into IVF. Good luck with the meds. Well went for our first visit and b/w was taking from both DH and myself.

I will be doing D/E so my protocol will be alot different from yours.

The donor does the stims, I get my lining prepared for the embies.

On our next visit we turn our papers in, have a class to attend, DH gives a sample for Back Up on day of egg retrievial. I get my first u/s to make sure everything looks ok in my womb.

Then after our screening, they start the process with matching us with a D/E. That will take about 3 months. So I am in limbo at the moment, but would love to keep up with you to see how things are going.

You have Doctor Toma too right at the North Carolina Center Reproductive. I will say a prayer for you. Best of luck, can't wait to see you post that you are pg. :D

Walsh! Wow I haven't been checking this board either. How did things go?

Are you ok?

As for me, I guess we will make our next appt sometime in May. We just sent off for the money from our 401k, when we get that back we will move ahead on the IVF, we are like most of everyone else, we are paying out of pocket.

My email address is dixiegolddust@yahoo.com if you need to talk.

Take care,
Beth
