I have just had my first IVF cycle fail. I have high FSH and was told to expect a low egg yield. I got 3, all of which fertilised and 2 good ones were put back.

I saw the consultant last week expecting that he would suggest another cycle albeit with modified drugs etc. Instead he told me not to waste my money on IVF as my chances of success are very low. He reminded me that I have previously been pregnant (ended in miscarriage) and all my eggs fertilised OK so we would be better to have repeated IUI and over a number of cycles this would give us the best chance of success. It seems like a step backwards. Has anyone else had similar advice?
