I have noticed that there are several members on here who have Ohio, and even Columbus as where they are from. I just thought I would see who all is from the Columbus area, and how many of you are going to ORM.
Just curious!

:D Count me in! O-H!! Can I get an I-O?

Actually I am glad my treatment isn't during football season b/c my family is insane about the Buckeyes and can't think or concentrate on anything else!

Of course at this point - some distraction wouldn't be a bad thing...lol

I dont have much family in Columbus, but lots of friends. Tailgaiting just isn't the same as it was when I was at OSU. It is still so much fun to go.

I-O!!!

I felt like Columbus was our second home when our daughter was sick, and am starting to feel that way again with all the trips we are making down there. I was just there yesterday, and I am back tomorrow. Oh well, we are going for a much more positive reason this time, and it is definitely worth it.

Lisa and miel, you are both in my prayers and I am so excited to be going through this with some fellow Buckeyes!

They took out 7 eggs. The lab called me this morning and said that out of the 7, 6 were good, and out of those 6, 3 fertilized. The lady from the lab thought I would come back tomorrow and get them all put back, but I explained about my uterus and she said if they are only doing one, I should come back Friday. So I guess I am going back Friday to get 1 put back. I am hoping and praying that this one sticks.

Honestly Sherry - I have no clue about the double uterus thing? Can you explain in more detail? I have never heard of it.

My advice to you is to follow the advice of the doctors. They have seen all of this and they know best. It was hard for me to accept that at first but I now have.

That is great that you have 3 little embies over there! Remember - you can always freeze the others and try them later in a frozen cycle if you need to.

Let me know how it goes. :)

Miel - I had my retrieval on 3/30. They only saw 9 follicles on u/s, but they got 13 eggs. Of those 13, 10 were mature, and 7 fertilized. 6 were graded excellent but, by day 5 when I had my transfer - I had 2 excellent blastocysts and the rest had stopped growing. I had none to freeze

But still - they are confident that they put back 2 really high quality embies so I am trying to stay positive. I test tomorrow - I can't believe it!!

The retrieval is no big deal - I assume they prescribed you a xanax? You will take that - then they give you a shot in the butt of Dilautid pain med - I was giggling like crazy. My husband kept trying to "shush" me. I did not feel any pain when they took the eggs - and the whole thing took less than 25 minutes. Later in the day - I got nauseous but I always react badly to pain meds. I took one of those suppositories they prescribed and it made me feel better and sedated me - all in all I slept 15 hours that day!!

Love the analogy to the buckeyes - lets hope my 2 little buckeyes are hanging on and ready to be put in the game!!!

Good luck to you both with everything. I will let you know my results tomorrow - good or bad.

Oh - and Sherry - just to let you know, if you post questions like the one about your uterus on the general forum - you will probably get a lot more responses. Seems a lot more people post there.

Girls,
I have been pretty calm with the whole process, but now that the retieval is tomorrow. I am panicking. What if, what if, what if..... Lots of stuff going on in my mind. Any suggestions? I am trying to take it one day at a time.
Lisa, thanks for the retrieval infor. I am more relieved now to know that is one less thing off my plate. Great to hear that your are testing tomorrow. Are you going in for a beta? or doing an HPT. Sounds like you have a great chance of success. 2 little embies. Have you been searching for signs? I know it is virtually impossible to tell the difference between af, implant, and progesterone.
Sherry, Keep us updated. Tomorrow will bring another great day for dividing!!

I am assuming that I will be out for most of tomorrow, based on all your experiences. I will try to update asap.

Hey Ohio ladies. I am happy to report that i got a BFP today. This is good news for both of you - since you are going to the same doctors!!

My HCG level is 109 - they said 50 to 100 is normal for today. I go back Monday for another test.

You two hang in there - let me know how you are doing!!

Lisa!!!! I am so excited for you. Congrats! Great things happen at ORM.
I had my retrieval today and got 18 eggs out of about 25 follies. I was very excited. We went ahead with the ICSI, since the sperm count was "moderately low". Cant wait for tomorrow.

Lisa,
Congrats!!!!
I have been feeling positive, but this makes me even more so. 1 BFP down, 2 to go!
I called the lab about my "little guys" this morning. (I found out yesterday morning that out of the 7 eggs they retrieved Tuesday, 3 fertilized).
As of right now, the plan is to have the best one implanted tomorrow (Friday) at 11:10.
If they should all happen to be very close in quality tomorrow, they will wait 'til Sunday, but I won't know until I call them in the morning.
Congrats again.
