Hi,
I have noticed alot of people saying they are on BCP?
My clinic never mentioned that. I am hoping to start the IVF treatment may/june. Is this something everyone does?
Tam,
Not everyone goes on BCP I was surprised when the DR. told me I was going to start it because my 1st IVF I did not take it and it was never even mentioned but, this time he put me on it when I asked why the nurse said just another way of doing the treatment. So hopefully it will bring me better luck this time.
Lots of luck to you! Jess
My doctor put me on BCPs and they basically said that they do it to give your ovaries a rest and take more control over your cycle. I have always had very regular cycles so I was surprised - but I took them anyway. I don't know if it makes a difference in success rates or not - I think the docs like it because they can plan better too - they'll know exactly when you start Lupron and when you will be getting a period, etc.
Good Luck !
