Two five cells

Post by Addison »

Hi ladies

I had two embryos transferred Friday. It was a 3 day transfer and the embryos were only 5 cells. Has anyone had success with transferring two five cells? I am discouraged because my doctor said that he likes them to be 6-8 cells by day 3 but he was happy to report that the quality of the embryos were all grade 1 (excellent).

I am having a depressing day and can't stop thinking that this was all just a big waste of money :(

I really need some positive feedback so I can get back to my cheery self again :P

Thanks so much,
Addison

Hi Addison

I just posted on the other board, but you answered my question here. I don't think you have much to worry about. OK so 6-cell would be ideal but they are top grade, that's a great sign. Try not to be discouraged. hang in there and good luck for Tues .

Caty,
Thanks so much for your reply. I am trying to stay positive and wait patiently for Tuesday. I don't feel any symptoms. I really wish I felt something. Are you going through an IVF cycle?

Best wishes,
Addison

Hi,

I wanted to let you know I just had my 1st scan and it showed a strong heart beat and perfect size. I'm telling you this because this is one of the 2 4-celled embies I had transfered 6 weeks ago!! (day 3 transfer) My RE also just had a pt deliver a baby that was 4 celled as well. You've got one whole extra cell over us! My last IVF I had 3 8-celled embie and a 5-celled embie transferred and got nothing! So far so good with this one. Please think positively. That's what my RE encouraged me to do and I did positive visualization throughout.

Good luck!!

Daly,

Thank you so much for your reply!! That has made me feel so much better. I was beginning to think that my RE was the only one who did a 3 day transfer any more. Best wishes to you and your little one!!

Anyone else had success with a five cell embie? Or four cell? I would love to hear from you.

Thanks again,
Addison
