Hey all,
we did an ICSI procedure today. Got 18 eggs out of 25 follies. Initially, we were planning just IVF, but the doc and the embryologist collectively talked us into ICSI, due to a moderately low sperm count (3 mill motile). I am fine with it now, but I was hoping to hear some of your experiences with ICSI.
We were successful first time with ICSI. We had half IVF/half ICSI with 12 eggs and none of the IVF fertilised, so very grateful for ICSI!
Fertilisation rate is higher for ICSI.
Wishing you all the best!
Love Kim

Thank you for the encouraging words. I just got our call and of the 18 eggs that were collected, 15 were mature. ICSI was done on all 15. And all 15 were fertilized!!! They froze 7 right away and saved 8 to mature for this procedure. All I want is 2 good blasts!
Wow, your numbers are great! You have a lot to be thankful for! I had 28 follies, 12 eggs. They did ICSI on all 12 (no sperm issues, they just do it to help increase odds I guess). Of the 12, 8 fertilized. I had 3 grade A embryos transferred in and I'm now almost 10 weeks pregnant with twins. So ICSI worked well for me (amongst other factors too of course).
Good luck. It sounds like you have a lot going for you already with those great results so far!
