Hi girls, just had a BFN today and am thinking of our next treatment already, its my only way of coping knowing there is still a chance.
Just wanted to know why the Doctors say to wait for 3months between ivf cycles. Does anyone know if there is any real evidence that waiting helps? Is it not better to try again asap when the drugs are still in your body?

So sorry to hear about your BFN. My clinic said that I needed to wait three months to give my body a rest from the drugs as IVF is very traumatic physically on the body as well as emotionally(and don't we know it!). Also they mentioned giving the ovaries time to shrink back to normal.
I suppose if we did it straight away again with drugs already in our system we could possibily send ovaries into OHSS???? I know that this is not much help for you at the moment.

Next cycle with ICSI, hopefully April 2006 = BFN
Hydrosalphinx being removed in November. ICSI next year. Last chance saloon!
Was told the same. That they like to give it a rest of 3-4 months bacause IVF is very hard on the body (ovaries especially).
Don't give up, it'll be your time soon!
