Moderators?

Does this site have Moderators?

I am fed up with the S*** that keeps being posted on this forums.

Parhaps someone who is reading this might know, how to stop the fake posts and the ppl posting porn and other rubbish......

If this site needs moderators I will gladly be up for it.....

Nicki, yesterday I used the 'feedback' link under 'resources' to write and say exactly the same. It's much much worse now than it ever was a year or two ago. The new stuff is offensive and wildly inappropriate on this board and getting more common.

I can only suggest other people use the feedback link to send their thoughts and hopefully something might happen.

In answer to your question, as far as I know, there are no moderators, just the very occasional visit from the mysterious Dr Samuel Marcus. Given that no one knows who owns this board, who reads it, why it was set up in the first place, where it is 'from' etc., I'm not sure what resources there are to keep the board clean.

i dont ever remember it being like it has lately..
but there are alot of mean peoplle out and about who give know thought to anyone....

i had e-mailed marcus along time ago and he had e-mailed me back. i will try and do it again. i know when someone used to adversetise meds on here he would delet it..

I've just seen the threads you're on about - I can't believe it either. It's more than insensitive, it's just blatantly disgusting.

Let's hope we can get them removed and stop posts like that appearing in the future.

I have not been on the board for a couple of days and it seems to have got really bad suddenly.

I have also sent feedback to ask for something to be done regarding the inappropriate postings.

I hope between us that we can somehow get it cleared off

I sent Marcus an email as well, but no response yet and the posts are going from bad to worse and horror, increasing in number!

Its really bad for this site..

I've sent a message via Feedback - let's hope we can get this sorted before too many more offensive postings appear.

Why are people so insensitive??

I am so shocked! I havent posted for ages but was regular and don't remember seeing ANYTHING like this.

Infact I remember other less offensive threads being deleted very promptly (someone trying to sell ivf drugs or conduct some dodgy 'research')

We really dont need this!!! Arghhhh

We are going to turn away new ladies who really could be helped by this site

It would be really get to have Marcus add a "report this post" button. Then it would be emailed to him directly or to a moderator. And they could address it.

Anyone heard back yet from Dr Marcus after sending a message / feedback about the filth? I've sent two and even offered to be an unpaid 'zap button' moderator but heard nothing.....

It really upsets me that new people, about to pluck up courage to join might be put off by the cr*p that's appearing everyday. It would be comforting to think it's all just 'automatically generated', like spam, but we know that's not true, people are taking the time to sign up so as to post porn adverts on sites for grieving parents. Inappropriate, distasteful and wildly misplaced on this board. It's very quick to spot + delete, it's time it was stopped.

I heard from Dr Marcus about a month back when I had written in regarding an inoffensive post- T
I got a delayed response, but did get one saying he was on holiday which was why he couldn't respond earlier..
the offensive post was deleted then, but as of the latest series of spam posts, theres been no response at all..
It really IS crazy..
I keep oping whoever it is will get bored of posting here and go away.. thats the only thing possible as the elusive Dr marcus seems to be away..

He says they've been working on it and wondered if I would volunteer to be a moderator..
I dont know..am thinking- cause with the baby, I'm wondering if i'd be able to give it all my time..

I received a reply from Dr. Marcus late yesterday.
He has also asked me to volunteer as a moderator.

I am going to find out a bit more of what will be required then I am thinking that I might volunteer on the basis that I will do what I can, when I can, however little this might be in between caring for the twins.
