Hi, I'm new here.

Post by misspriss1_99 »

My names is Trisha and I had a tubal ligation 7 years ago after having my son. I was married at the time and didn't think I would have anymore children. My husband was abusive and I finally got out of that relationship. On April 1st of this year I married the greatest man alive(thats how I feel about him). He has no children of his own and we would like to be able to have a child of our own. We have looked at many different options and have decided that IVF is the way we want to go. I am having trouble finding out if there are any insurances out there that would cover part or all of the cost for this procedure. We want to start our family very badly and cant wait to get this started. If anyone out there has any information it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Trisha and Will Watson :)

IVF information

Post by cindy13nelson »

Hi, Trisha,

Congratulations on finding your man!

As far as I know, there are 14 states in the US that offer mandatory insurance coverage for infertility treatmens and (some) drugs. Also, a lot of clinics offer shared risk plans - up to a certain number of IVF cycles for a fixed price. You can also combine the two (I know some people who did).

Hope this helps.

Love,

Cindy
