I had a tubal tie about 3 yrs or so ago. Reasons partly didn't think I wanted children, secondly, didn't have much choice, as doctor took me off the pill due to risk of strokes, and the only option left was condoms or sterilization.
Anyway, to cut a long story short. Has anyone else been in the same boat, whereby they feel their sterilization was a mistake? And what's the chances of getting fertility treatment? Is it worth seeing my dr, or will it be a waste of time and a huge embarrasement?
Thanks for the reply.
I paid a visit to me GP, and she is looking into a reversal operation. The question remains will the NHS cover the costs, or will I have to go private. Either way, things look positive.
I too have had tubal surgery and according to my doc it wouldve been easy enough to reverse,my problem was they had taken tubes away, but am currently undergoing ivf, dont give up hope, all will be well in the end..Take care..Nicola..xx
Hiss, Hi, I have had a tubal reversal. two infact. If you are going to go this route then you must research it carefully. The doctor you choose should be very familar with reversals and should have lots of experience. My reversal doctor was Dr. Gary Berger in N.C. is he wonderful. You can find him on the internet by typing in tubal reversal with Dr.Berger. If you have any ?'s about this please email me at brennan5@peoplepc.com
