Smear test due

Ive just had a letter from the GP to say my smear is due again after 3 yrs, wow those 3 yrs flew past....
I am starting IUI again in less than a month and wonder would it be best if i have one before the cycle or after the cycle???

Hi nIcki,

I am not a specialist, but i guess it cant hurt doing ur smear before. Then you will be sure to be perfectly ok for your IUI.
At my clinic, I have to have all the blood work and gynea exams every 6 months, to make sure all is ok. I guess and little infection or some kind of fungus is not great when you need ART, so they just check often.

hi Niki,
oh i remeber those days of three - five year smears...i have to have one every 6 months here USA usually every year but im high risk

i went for mine about two weeks ago part of my treatment is that i am up to date with all pap related issues it doesnt cause any trouble to get it done and if your going to be pregnant for 9 months its nice to have it out of the way

Hope it goes ok - I know it's not the nicest of examinations but it's good to get it out of the way.

I have to have one every 6 months - mines now way over due because they couldn't do it whilst I was pregnant.
