I am in the Cols too, and just posted to you. How is the Lupron going? I start mine on July 2nd, so I am two weeks behind you.

I started mine on June 13th. I am having hot flashes. I got on Web Md today it said that was one of the side effects. I sat in front of my air conditioner all night last night. But, I'm doin alright, you?

I started Lupron on June 16th...

Rileydee... I also get HOT.. I sweat like crazy (I was standing in front of the freezer lst night) The best part is my DH is on Clomd and he gets hot flashes also.. LOL

Other then the sweating and I have a good headache today.. I am OK so far.. someone told me that they got RAGES.. Thank goodness I don't have that.. and hope I never get it.. That was bad enough when I was on Clomid..

How is everyone else doing?? Where are you doing the shots?? I use my tummy...

HI all...You are making me nervous...I haven't had any side effects from the Lupron at all! I was on Clomid and didn't really have any from that either. NOw that I have said that, I am sure I will regret it.

It sounds like a few of you are a week ahead of me....keep me posted. When do you two start stims? What meds are you going to be on? Is this your first attempt at IVF? What led you to this point?

This is my first attempt. I am 29 and my husband is 31. We have been married for 5 years and actively trying for 2 of them. I found out I have endometreosis this year and had a lap done in November. I have had 9 clomid cycles and 5 IUI's. I did have one early miscarriage/ chemical pregnancy. Hopefully this is it!

Hey girls,
I have been givin my shots in my tummy too. lm, this is my first try at IVF. Since I was 19 I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I have never been regular. I would have 0-6 af's a year. I once went 2 yrs. I would go to doctors and they would tell me that I was perfectly healthy and they didn't know what was wrong, I would have to go to a fertility specialist. Couldn't afford that. Anyways, to shorten it up a bit, 3 years ago, I had a surgery called ovarian wedge ressection. They were supposed to take a piece of my ovary and that was supposed to stimulate ovulation. They got in there and discovered that I practically have no ovaries. So he couldn't complete the surgery. I was devastated. I thought that was the end of the line for me. But then we discovered that we could possibly have an egg donor. My sister was more than happy to oblige and here we are. I am sooooo excited!!

Hi IM... This is my first IVF (and last I hope) and we started Lupron on 6-16 I will start Follistim in 4 days.. YIKES... and I will also use Menapour (helps make more eggs) and Heprin (I have mthfr a blood clottng issue) and PIO and progesterone supositories.. (YUCK) we have been TTC for 8 years and finally have ins that covers IVF woohoooo

Rileydee... wow that is amaving that you had such little overies... and what a blessing to have a sister like you do... my sister's would NEVER do sonething s selfless for me.. lol

Good Luck!!! I am just two days behind you with Lupron, but I don't start stims until July 8th. My clinic ALWAYS has you start stims on the saturday after your baseline u/s and b/w. my baseline is set for July 3rd.

I will be on Bravelle and Menapur. Once they get the eggs I will be on the PIO.

You are so lucky your insurance covers it! Mine dosen't cover a penny!!!

Hope everything is well with you girls. I do have an awsome sister. I had the psyc evaluation and friday and an u/s and bloodwork. Everything is going as planned so far. I started the Estradiol shots on friday. They are fun!!! ha. DH I think enjoys it just a bit too much. baby glue to us all!!!

hummm I had my baseline last Thursday so 6 days before I start stims.. I CAN NOT believe I start tomorrow.. YIKES... Big issue is... I can not find anywhere to get my 17 HPC.... the one pharmacy that I have to use for mail order (ins says I have to ) does not make it (it is compounded..) So I might have to pay out of pocket for that.... YIKES $40.00 a vile.... I wish I knre how many viles I will need..

Haw is everyone else???? I am doing fine with the Lupron.. it is the IM shots that scare the crap out of me.. lol

Hi,
This is my first IVF cycle. I have to start my lupron from 7th july. I am little nervous with the injections too as my dh is very nervous to give them to me.
I am 29 yrs old.My dr. said that apart from my blocked tubes, all other things are ok and I've high chance of getting pregnant . So he insists on putting back on one fertilized embryo if there are more than one in healthy condition but DH and myself have doubt abt that as we don't want to take chance and ask him to put atleast 2 of them. Is it foolish of us to think like that? Is it very risky to have twins? My insurance will just cover one cycle so we are little more concerned with the decision and need some advice regarding this.

Ani- I don't think it is foolish to try with one embie. If you have a good chance, I think it is very smart. Tonia-My shots are going ok. The last two days of my shot I have drawn blood. I don't know whats goin on. My dh gave me my second estradiol shot last night. I don't even feel it. It's not half as bad as I was imagining. I hope you are all doing well. PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA!!!!

Tonia and LM, how are you doing with your shots so far? I was SCARED OUT OF MY MIND but I'm lucky my DH was more than happy to stick me (ha) and that has helped. The first time he had to give me IM shot I kept chickening out, he finally told me to put the pillow over my head and shut up, I barely felt it at all. What I had imagined was so much worse. That was the hcg (trigger) shot a few days before EC. The subq shots actually gave me more bruising than I'm getting now with the IM shots.

I think the needle guage makes a big difference. The first (hcg) shot was with a 25g 1 and 1/2 in needle and it was better than the 23g one we got with the progesterone. It's still not as bad as I feared though. Trick is to ice first until it's numb, I prefer laying down so my muscle is relaxed, then he rubs after the shot (his fav part haha) and then I use a heating pad ... feels just fine. Just a pinch when the needle first goes in. So don't be too worried!!

Ok DH just became angry H - told me I must get back to bed per dr. orders. So bye for now, hang in there!
