Hi everyone - I am a little worried about something.

I had ec under general anaesthetic yesterday and apart from shuffling round like the hunchback of Notre dame for for the last 36 hours I am still bleeding - probably about the same amount as a light period. I can't remember this happening last time - is it normal?

Aside from that I had 10 eggs, 7 were injected and 5 fertilised so I am just hoping they hang on in there til Tuesday transfer - the thought of more probing is making me wince!

Any thoughts be they comforting or alarming welcomed

Sam,

Funnily I said to Dh when we were in the clinic yesterday' "I wonder do you bleed after the e/c, e/t". I'm sure it's quite common because they're doing a lot of hooking about. Just try and relax for now. I know it gets really boring hanging about the house but just think, it's only for another 2 weeks (agh)!!! It's all ahead of me.

Great news on the egg front anyway, I think I've got about 10 also. My e/c has been put back for another 2 days (typical), they're trying to let the smaller ones catch up. At this stage I'm like a barrel.

I go back up on Thursday, so I'll ask then if it's normal to bleed after e/transfer, if this is any help.

Anyway, relax now, everything will work out.

Bye for now

Heather b.
Hi There
Just a quick note to say i bled after EC. It didnt last for as long as you but did for about 24 hours. I was told this was perfectly normal. If it continues though i would maybe give your clinic a wee phone just to make sure
love
woppa
xxx
