Hello all,
first time for me, but feel better already just from recognising I'm not on my own through this nightmare and GOOD LUCK to all of us!!
I'm on my second round of trying to de-regulate. First time I found out I was allergic to Synarel, made me violently sick so then they started me on Buserelin injections. After two weeks had the scan and was told to carry on. Had the blood test at 3 weeks and still no luck so decided to come off that cycle and waid until AF. They told me it would be 2-3 weeks, 5 weeks later it finally arrives and they tell me I had a small cyst that was stopping me DR. Started the Buserelin again, but had the scan last week and still no joy. Going for another blood test tomorrow but starting to feel a bit despaerate because NOT responding to the drugs was something I didn't even consider going into all of this. They tell me that people can be on the injections for 5 or 6 weeks before they are ready to go onto the next stage, wouldn't it just be my luck that I'm one of them !! Anyone else heard of this happening?
p.s sorry about the dodgy username, but i was in work mode, my proper name is Terri.

Hi terri,

Sorry that you are having such a hard time down regulating!!! I have only had one round of IVF, (ended in a chemical pregnancy) and I also took buserelin, but everything seemed to be ok, apart from it delaying AF by 1 week. I was told this was quite normal. I am due to start IVF No2 in approx 2 weeks and this time I have been put on a totally different protocol. It requires no down regulating just stimulating, which means I shall be on Gonal F for about a week, then Gonal F and Cetrotide for another week. Maybe this could be an option for you?? Where are you having your treatment? It certainly sounds a better deal to me as it seemed as though I was injecting for weeks last time!!!!!!!

Sorry I do not have any answers for you, but just wanted to give a little support. Good luck
Lisa

Thanks Kimmy
Had the results of my blood test and after 3 weeks of Buserelin, my levels are still too high but they are better than this time last cycle so I'm going to keep going. My Gynae has talked about Zoladex if this doesn't work but she doesn't like using it for some reason. They keep telling me there's loads of different protocols they can try so not to give up hope.
Good Luck to you
Terri
