BFN but no AF yet!

I had a BFN on Monday which was 3 days after AF was due. Couple of days before i had symptons that it was coming but they have now gone. I am usually regular as clockwork and am now waiting for it to arrive to be able to move on. Does anyone know if it can take a while for body to get back to normal? This is my first try with IVF so i don't know.
Would appreciate any advice.

Hi Ellie,

I'm so sorry for your BFN. I've just looked at the papers I was given from the clinic. My clinic test 16 days after ET, it says if the results are negative you should expect a period within 3 to 7 days.

I hope you're doing as well as can be expected. Have you booked that trip away for you and DH yet?

Hi Elllie:

Just wanted to let you know that I got my BFN on Monday July 10th, and AF did now show up until almost Sunday July 16th. I am pretty regular also. I think its probably all the meds in our system. I also think it messes up your ovulation as well as I have been testing everyday from the 6th day and no sign of ovulating yet (may be I need to be more patient).

I am sorry about your BFN I know how you feel. We have decide it to try naturally from couple of months and see what happens. I have gotten pregnant naturaly 3X but m/c. I've tried one IUI and one IVF and no success.

I am in the same place, just got the BFN yesterday and waiting for AF. i am pretty regular too. my clinic said that AF should come 2~5 days after we are off progestone. like Jackie, I decided to take a break for a few months too since those med got me so tired everyday that i can't function a whole day without a nap. luckily i work from home so i can do that. but think a healthy body is essential for the future success.

Thanks for the advice. Got my AF this morning which is 4 days after BFN. More painful than usual but i guess it is to be expected. Can try and move on now. We are going to wait until the end of the summer before we try again, try and get body back to normal.
Have decided not to go to Barcelona but are going round south of FRance for couple of days driving. Think it will be more relaxing than a city break. Now AF is here will book for next week hopefully it will be finished by then.
Sorry to hear your BFN Anita and Jackie. Have been wondering why i always need a nap pleased im not the only one. I work from home to so have been able to do this. Don't know if i could have coped otherwise.
