hi

I am waiting to see my specialist and I think he is going to advise us to go for IVF as I have tubal blocks.

I wa just wondering that what happens if a cycle does get stoped for whatever reason? Do you have to pay the money twice or do they only charge you if you have a full go.

I know this might seem awfull but we can only afford one attemp to if it got stoped that would be it!

Also do you know much about freezing emryos? if you do this does it make it cheaper next time around and is the success rate any good.

I live in Somerset so it would cost approx 3000.00 a go.
hi

every clinic is different but when i had a tmt cancelled i was having icsi. the tmt was stopped just before ec so i had taken all the drugs we had to pay for all the scans and blood test so in all only got £500.00 back. our tmt cost £4500.00. if you have frosties you can have them put back on a natural cycle no drugs this is a lot cheaper £1000.00 i'm having fet at the end off may the tmt is costing £1500.00 as i'm taking drugs. you must try and stay positive as you might not have any problems a lady on here has just fallen pg on her first go so that gives us all hope.

well hope i have answered your questions

from july ann
been in tmt for 4 years.Male factor. Have had 3 icsi, one ivf with donor sperm.Went for fet with 7 eggs but none made it to blastocyst. just had 5 DI. test date 27 july
Thanks July Ann

I do try and stay positive but it is very hard.

When I saw my consultant last Tuesday before I had my Lap & Dye he said that if we do need IVF I have a good chance of getting PG as I am only 29years old. He did say though that it might take more than one attempt and that is what worries me as we can not afford it.

My friend who I work with already has a 7year old by and has just recently had an ectopic so they had to remove her tube. The doctor who is also my specialist told her that if they get pg again it will proberbly be ectopic but he then said that as she would of had both her tubes removed she is entitled to FREE IVF,
I feel this is so unfair as my tubes are no bloody good for anythink but I have to pay.

The system is so wrong.
