Hello to everyone!!

Post by Filipa »

Hello everyone,

I have only just discovered this website and have been ploughing through all the posts this morning. I am now on 2 WW and wish I had found you all sooner!! Better late than never I suppose.
I wondered if anyone had advice re OHSS and pregnancy. I suffered from OHSS after the ET and doc said symptoms would clear up UNLESS I got pregnant and then they would worsen again. I am now panicking as I have not had any further symptoms. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Also having what feels like AF cramping and feel a bit emotional like PMT symptoms. I test on Monday and all the confusion of trying to read symptoms is driving me crazy.
Thanks to anyone who can help and good luck to everybody. It is so nice to feel not alone in all of this.

Hi Filipa and welcome to the site.
Just thought I'd say hello even though I can't help you with your question! I too test on Monday and am too slowly going crazy with waiting and analysing every twinge! My story is a little different to yours as we have had problems responding to IVF drugs. I never got to EC. Am now on second try with donor eggs.
I'm sure another lady will be able to help you with your question. Have you read any books by Zita West? The one called 'fertility and conception'is really good with very clear explanations of all things IVF.

Wishing you loads of luck for Monday. BFP all the way!!!!
Take care

Hello Anna,

Many thanks for your reply and hoping that this Monday will be a very special day for us both. I know you really need to not obsess about every twinge but I just find it impossible not to!! Especially each day it gets closer to the test date.
It is lovely to know that other people are feeling exactly the same as I am sure my DH looks at me as if I am a crackpot at times :D
I will have a look for the book you recommended. Thanks. I am sure it would help out a lot.

Keeping everything crossed for BFP's!!!!!!

Have a lovely weekend. I don't think I shall think of anything else..................
