If you have your embryos frozen for another cycle, do you have to take any shots in preparation for the transfer? If so, which one? I'm assuming that one would still have to take progesterone. Anyone know the answer?
Hi. I did lupron injections for a while. I also did Estrace simulataneously. 8 days before FET I began the PIO injections and still on them. Will continue those into week 13 if I get my bfp on Monday. Hope this helps.
Down regulation with a GnRH agonist (commonly Lupron) and endometrial preparation with estradiol and progesterone are very standard for FET cycles. You get to skip all the gonadotropins used in the fresh cycles (FSH, HMG, hCG).
It depends if you are doing a natural cycle. When i did my FET i did it on a natural cycle and only used progesterone after the transfer, no drugs what so ever prior to FET. The doctor will tell you if you are to do a natural cycle or drug cycle.
Hope this helps
