Hello,
Does anyone know that if you have IVF is there a lower chance of birth defects like down syndrome and spina bifida etc as the embroyos are screened and the best ones chosen before egg transfer?
Many Thanks.
Bob.

no all the smae risks apply unless you use PGD where the embrys are looked at more closely...

I agree with jordan22 - With PGD screening you will eliminate the abnormal embryos (chromosomal abnormalities) from being transfered.
