ABANDONED CYCLE

Hello everyone Just thought i'd let you know we had our treatment stopped today. They only wanted us to produce 1 or 2 follies, but there were 5 today. We were on the lowest dosage of drugs and they were still growing for fun. It was only our first go but thought might have got further on than this. They have told us to ring next month to try again and if the same thing happens again then will probably have to try ivf. Feel shit and don't know what else to say really. Hope everybody else is doing ok and good luck to those on their 2ww. Jackie

Sorry to hear your news especially on your first go, i nearly got cancelled with my second ICSI but for the opposite reason NOT ENOUGH Follis!!! Hang in there at least you know that you have good responding ovaries, which counts for allot! its far better to have too many than not enough. thinking of you Trace x

Hi Jackie I'm really sorry to hear you had to abandon. What an anti climax. It will take some time to recover, I imagine. But if you do go for IVF, at least they will know from this experience how you respond, and will be able to monitor the drugs accordingly. And as Traci says, you'll be glad of all those follies when it comes to IVF. Till then loads of love from me and a big ehug. Sam C xxxx

life is so unfair having tmt stopped is just as bad as having a neg result i had a cycle stopped last year, i have had two more goes since then so try and stay positive and i really hope all goes well next month. from july ann

Hi Jackiey, So sorry your cycle has been cancelled, mine was also yesterday. I've gone from one extreme to the other first time I had ohss and produced too many now I've produced too few. THis treatment is so frustrating. Next month will hopefully come round quickly for you, I have to wait 3 months. I haven't drank for about a month so had a few last night, you could tell my system wasn't used to it!! I feel a sad but Know i can do alot better so i'm trying to be positve and hopefully they'll get the dose right next time, as i'm sure they will with you. Thinking of you Love Deb T x

JAckie not much more to add to the others except hang in there and I am very sorry - you will find a way through this - it's a bit like a maze and some of us stumble around before finding the right path. Anyone got any hedge clippers. Love Tracey xxx
