Sorry, but i need to ask this?

Well im sure im worrying about nothing, and most of the time i dont think this, but sometimes i get a strange feeling that maybe, just maybe they put back the wrong embie!!!! :o
An yes i know it is very rare, and im sure im worrying about nothing, but the thought is still there, coz with a "normal" pregnancy there is absolutly no doubt that the baby you are carrying is yours, and your pretty sure of who the farther is too, but they werent even with me when he was created, an spent 3 days away from us.
Thanks for reading, an sorry to depress, but would be lovely to think that im not alone in sometimes having these thoughts.
Take care Charlie xxx

Hi Charlie,

You are completely normal. And yes I have questioned this too but the clinics are very professionally, they check and check again. Have you noticed in the pharmacy when you get a prescription they pharmacist checks it, then get someone else to check it before they give it to you?? Well in the clinic it's worse than that!

When we're pregnant our hormones are all over the place, we worry about very strange weird things but we are normal. I used to worry that the baby would be born with a different skin colouring, it can happen! In fact, my little girl has piercing blue eyes. Both dh and myself have brown eyes which I always thought was more dominating. She's just a spit of dh's mum!

Try not to worry yourself too much over it, don't want that blood pressure going up at this stage!!

Thanks Jo, its great to know im not the only one to have thought this as i was thinking that if my body was thinking it than it must be trying to tell me that he is not ours.
Thanks xx

Charlie,

You know im glad you brought this up, i have felt the same exact way as you but dident have the courage to ever post it. I remember when i was going to have my Transfer done and my girlfriend called and said i wish you luck and said oh make sure they are your embryos they put back!!

i laughed at it then, but during my 2ww when we all kind of loose our minds i thought, my GOD what if they embryologist did have a mix up. It has scared me but i realize they are so careful and couldnt imagine something like that happening, everything is so properly labeled and managed, but hey i think its not impossible. Anyway, thank you for the post!!! it was good to talk about it!
With Gods Blessings BFP!

I have thought the same thing too! It's weird, cos I thought I was the only one to think it! I always worry more for DH, b/c if they did put back the wrong embie, I already feel a connection to her from carrying her in my belly, but DH wouldn't have any connection.

Anyway, it's crazy thinking...

You can always guarentee that if we have a worry then lots of others have the same worry too. Sharing is good!

It must cross everyone's mind, but it's so so rare. I know at my clinic I was always having to confirm my name and DOB. And DH's 'pot' had my name only. Almost like he didnt exist!!!!!!
