Hi Ladies,
I am currently 6 weeks and 1 day and I had my first official u/s today. I saw the heart beat it was 92. I know this is on the low side, but the doctor didn't seem like anything was wrong. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it low because the heart is just starting to beat?
My baby's heart rate at 6 weeks 1 day was 90. I spent the next two weeks until my 8 weel us fretting and reading everything I could get my hands on and found that this is a very normal rate for a newly beating heart. Anything below 90 is dicy but 90 is acceptable.
I am now six month pregnant with a strong healthy boy growing inside of me. Please try to relax and wait for the next test results. Easier said than done, I know but you are within a normal range.
Angel,
I also had my first ultrasound around the 6 week mark, and had a heartbeat in the low 90's. They did seem a little concerned, and scheduled me for another US the following week. Apparently in many cases they catch it when the heart first starts beating, so it hasn't yet reached the safe zone of over 100 bpm. At my follow-up appointment her heart rate was 110 bpm. It was one of the longest weeks of my life, but Hannah is now a healthy 1 year old!
See if your doctor can schedule you for another US next week or at 8 weeks. Think positive thoughts until then =)
Congrats to you =)

I had another u/s at 7 weeks and the heart rate was 103. Its going up, but still slow. I am so worried. I'm scheduled to come in again at 8 weeks to see if the heart rate will be normal.
