Taking a HPT??

Post by JackieG »

Hi Ladies,

I just have a question for all of you.

What was the earliest that you took a HPT and got a positive? And what was the latest??

I had the HCG shot over 10 days ago so it is out of my system.

I had a 5 day transfer.

Just curious to see how early you all got the 1st BFP.

I know that I should wait for the BETA, but you know how hard it is :(

Thanks,

God bless all,
Jackie

Hi Jac,

It's torture isn't it waiting !!! I haven't been lucky enough for a +tive but I can tell you my cousin kept getting a -tive hpt and turned out to be +tive. I was told by my dr to test on day 11 then again on day 14 and see. They say that day 14 will give an accurate result. Day 11 if +tive would be accurate but if -tive try day 14 and that would confirm.

I think the longer you can hold off the better, but did find that when I did test on day 11 it broke the fall for day 14.

I hope and pray that this is your time xxx

Jackie, I know it's absolute torture but please try to hold out for your beta. My hpt showed -ve even on my test day! The beta result from blood taken the same day came through 2 days later and was +ve.

HPT's are evil and should be avoided at all costs!!!
Good luck

I took a HPT both times I did IVF. The first time I took one at 11 DPT to help me prepare for a negative result. I was shocked that it was positive. The second time I took one at 5 DPT (I didn't have an HCG shot) and it was positive. I am very impatient and don't like surprises so it worked for me.

ooo gosh that's so tempting i can be a huge amount of immoral support ... aren't you 8dp5dt ? they should be all settled in ....BUT it could still not register yet
it depends on how you feel about the possibility of seeing a -ive could you say well it could be to early or would it freak you out,....

Debs,

Yep... 8dp5dt!! Im very tempted, but I sure dont want the dissappointment if it is too early. Im feeling tired, bloated, sore boobs and have increased CM. I have read both sides of the story so now I just need to decide.

I will keep you all posted what I decide to do.

PMA to all,
Take care,
Jackie
