I haven't done any research on this yet, but wanted to seek your opinions on inducing birth.
Our baby is due on 18th December and we are starting to discuss the option of inducing him/her if he has not arrived by that date - all being ok of course.
Our main reason for this is to avoid having bub so close to Christmas - or possibly even Christmas day. I know quite a few people who really hate having their birthdays at Christmas time - but on the other hand, I know one girl who loves it...We are also being a little selfish in that we want our baby for Christmas!
I would obviously prefer to have everything occur as naturally as possible, but from what I understand, induction is not a big deal - just more painful for mum with the rapid onset of contractions. My mum had my sister induced simply because her OB was going on holiday!
So, what do you think?
