My name is Jenn.
My husband and I are starting IVF.
We had one false start because my estrogen was too low, and I wasn't producing the eggs I needed.
That was frustrating enough, because I really wanted to go all the way through.
My husband had a vasectomy, and the reversal didn't work.
Otherwise, we don't know of any other problems. That's why the low estrogen was a shock, because I have a very regular and strong cycle.
Anyway, any advice at how to best prepare for the next start in October would be appreciated.
PS. I am a vegan, so I don't eat meat eggs, or dairy...I don't know if that will ruin my chances...

Welcome aboard!
Your case is similar to mine...my husband also had a vasectomy and had the operation 2 years ago however it didn't do much improvements! I had an underactive Thyroid Gland, which can affect the success of the embies sticking...However even after regulating it with the medicine I still had 4 failed IVFs...Other then that I have no other problems!
I don't think that the diet wheter vegan or not has to do with its success, However you need to have a solid and diversified menu so you could have a strong imune system and to be energized to overcome the stress that goes along with the treatment...
It is not a tough ride nor an easy one...you will get your ups and downs...but you should always be optimistic and enjoy the process by keeping your thoughts at the target...which is getting pregnant...
As you will read in the posts each clinic or Dr. have their own rules and treatments it is always good to hear others' opinions especially comming from someone who's been there!!!
Keep high hopes...a smile and everything will be great!!

Four attemps is probably more than I can afford. We probably can only afford two attemps, but I am trying to positive.
I've been reading posts on this site to keep me grounded and realisitic.
I was shocked and unprepared for the reversal not to work. I don't want to feel that again, so reading these posts makes me feel better.
As I'm sure you've felt, I feel pretty lonley because no one else I know has to do this to have a child, and everyone around me is having babies!!!

I've had an appointment with my Dr. last week and he advised that I should resume the trials. I think I don't have any other choice if I want to have babies!!
I mentioned in another posts how shocked I was by the cost in the states and Europe for the IVF...Personally the first time was the most expensive and the cost was less then 3000$ including medication...As I understood in the states it might be aound 12000$
Well Keep high hopes no matter what! and I hope it will work from the first attempt!!!

Patie...I'm in Canada, and for me the cost will total about $12000 for the first try and maybe another 3 grand for the next try (if I have extra eggs to freeze). Where do you live?? Mayne I should come try there!! I'd try many more times if I could.

Well I Live in Dubai but I do my IVFs in Lebanon (my home country)..it is along way from Canada!!! although u are most welcome to visit!!!
A new Dr is opening a clinic here in Dubai so I might do the next cycle with him because it is a hassle travelling every time!
Honestly I don't know about the flashing square!!! sorry couldn't help:(
