bright red blood after IVF

Post by L & C »

If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it. I called the doc and left a message for the nurses at 12:30pm today...... they never called back. You can never call there and actually get one of them, you have to leave a message and WAIT all day for them to call back. Frustrating.

I had a BFN on 9/13 and stopped the prometrium. Got my AF on 9/17 and it was normal until the 3rd evening.... I started dripping bright red blood. Sorry to be graphic. Then the next day there was absolutely nothing. Then the next day at 4pm, it started again. That was yesterday and it happened all day today.

This is not normal for me AT ALL. Has anyone had this problem??? Could it be all the IVF drugs that did it or is something bleeding in there?

Since I've learned so much on this board and the nurses had me so confused throughout my whole cycle, I thought maybe someone could help me out here. Thank you very much.

I had a failed IVF in Nov 2005, and had horrible bleeding. I bled, stopped, started again, etc for about a week and a half. It was clotty, then dark, then bright, all over the map. It had stopped, and I thought I was done, then I took a bath, sat on the toilet lid nekkid for a minute, then went in my bedroom to get dressed. I looked down, and it looked like a horror scene from a movie. Bright red blood everywhere! All over the floor, running down the toilet, etc. I've never seen anything like it.

Eventually it stopped, and my next cycle was fine.

Sorry if i was too gross and graphic. :)

Best to you!!

Thank you Toni

At least I know I'm not alone. Hopefully it'll go away for me too. The nurses still have not called me back.... I guess they don't care. I'd sure like to know what's causing it though... it doesn't happen for no reason.
Thanks again.
