Steriods and Pregnancy

Hello,

Unfortunately my Crohns disease has flared up (it went into remission with my last two pregnancies) and I have to go back on steriods. Although they will give me some which are safe during pregnancy, does anyone know how they may affect the baby? Or has anyone taken these during pregnancy?

I'm an insulin dependant diabetic as well (I know the steriods will make my sugars go sky high) also I know the baby will be a tad on the large size beacuse of the diabetes but I'm worried the steriods will make it even bigger! Or is that silly? I don't have my consultant until next Thursday to be able to ask him and my gastroentrologist wants me to start them today.

I would appreciate any advice if anyone has any.
