Hello,

I am relatively new to this site and find it a great help.

Briefly my story:-

Been trying for 9 years, had 4 iui's (3 nhs and 1 self funded)and had 1 bio-chemical which came to nothing, then had 3 attempts at ivf (self funded)but no luck. I have been on the waiting list for nhs ivf treatment for nearly three years and as they are updating the waiting list they have not told me how much longer i have to wait(despite 3 or 4 letters to them).

I have polycyctic ovary syndrome and other half is fine. We are both 30 and i am getting very down as the waiting for treatment is killing me, if it was in 3 or 4 months time i think i would wait, if longer i would consider having another self funded attempt.

I would like to know if you have been treated at CARU in Cardiff and how many attempts do you get on the nhs.

If anybody knows that would be a great help.

Thanks

Tracey l
