depressing RE visit

Post by tiff912 »

I went to the RE. I haven't really been tested for anything and since I have had 7 surgeries for endo I wanted to see what the problem is. Well, we are doing a HSG Tuesday and he drew a lot of b/w. The nurse called me yesterday and said my FSH is a little high at 16. She said they don't like it above 15. Everything I have read says that is still too high and that the meds won't do much for me. So yet another strike against me. I called today and am waiting to see if the RE calls me. Why would they have the nurse call me and tell me this horrible news and not be able to answer any questions. We did decide to switch to Femara cd3-7 instead of the clomid. I am very depressed and have now lost all hope.

Have no fear, I too had high FSH as well as a double mutation of the MTHFR gene. I also have servere allergies, asthma and I am insulin resistant. Dispite all this, we managed to have one good embie to transfer and now we are pregnant! I was a hard road, but it seems to be having a grand ending. Your RE will call and you can ask your questions and get some answers, but they only have statistics. They told us we only had a 10% chance of getting pregnant after 4 out of our 5 eggs did not make it. When I called an told them I had a + HPT, the nurse was screaming and jumping up and down. The RE even admitted they were not expecting us to get pregnant and we looking for a possible second try.

Don't give up, but please educate yourself.
