Leigh ,
I stopped winding dhruvaa when she learned to turn over easily theres pressure on the stomach when they roll over and then she'd burp on her own after i fed her and put her down...
this was around 15-17 weeks..she was a colicky baby so i had to be careful all the time previously to make sure she burped..

Hi Leigh
My son Jacob is 9weeks old and has bad collic the doc says that around the three month mark this should improve as he'll learn to burp himself so some where around that time frame i would think. And like smita says once they become more mobile they will naturally wind themselves also. Hope this helps and good luck.
