New Member undergoing Egg Donor IVF Cycle

Post by LuAnne41 »

Hello to all! I'm glad to find an outlet for feelings you ladies know all too well; the cycle of hope & disappointment that even our dearest friends & family members can not truly grasp unless they have experienced it. I want to briefly fill you in on my treatment I tried conventional IVF six times in the past w/4 BFN's & 2 BFP's w/mc each time. Eventually I was diagnosed w/one of the conditions easily treatable w/baby aspirin & Lovenox. (too late to prevent the mc's though!) Since I am now older, I decided to use an egg donor before embarking on IVF again. 1st attempt was Aug 2006 & BFN. 2nd ET (Cryo) was 10/27 & I am now in the 2ww period. My objectives here are the same as everyone else; support & encouragement! It does me good to know I am not alone when I read about others ttc. If you read my post, please say a prayer for me. Thanks & God Bless!

Hi LuAnne

Just wanted to wish you good luck. Hoping your 2ww flys by and you are soon celebrating your BFP.
We have undergone IVf with a donor egg and am now 17weeks pg!
Maybe you would like to join the 'Over 40' thread on the General forum. Lots of ladies there with support and advice, including some who have also been through donor tmt.

Keep us posted, when is your test date?
Fingers crossed, you are in my thoughts and prayers

Hello AMck!
It's wonderful to hear your good news! It's just the kind of encouragement I need. My test day is Thursday the 9th & of course I'm praying for the BFP. I've told no one I am undergoing these treatments because of the 2 m/c before. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but if I do get the BFP, I only plan to tell my sister in the beginning. That's another reason this forum is so helpful. Is the "Older 40" group just another topic thread or is it a different forum? I'm certainly interested. Thanks for your support & again, CONGRATULATIONS!

I just wanted to say, "Good Luck" to you. This site is great because you'll talk to ladies going through the same things you are experiencing. You may want to consider joining the "Over 40" thread too. It is wonderful & there are at least 4 "Over 40" ladies that are pregnant in the group. :D
God Bless You & Again; GOOD LUCK!!!!
