Ghost, are you saying that the chances of IVF decrease with each cycle?
You said that each cycle damages the endometrium, so that would explain why IVF #6 is less likely to succeed than IVF #1?

My RE said that each cycle is brand new, in the sense that there is the same 10 or 15% chance of ...

Hello Lynniecat, no I did not do anything different for the 3 protocols, exactly the same thing...

My RE said that it is random how ovaries perform any given month, some months they produce more follicles than other months, no reason why.

Very frustrating.

Congrats on your BFP !

Ghost -3rd IVF - same protocol but v poor response this time

I am in my 2ww during my 3rd IVF cycle. The first IVF, I had a MC at 6.5 weeks and the second IVF was a chemical pregnancy.

I am very upset because I only produced 1 follicle that luckily contained a mature egg (thank God it fertilised!). On my first IVF, I had 4 mature eggs (2 fertilised) and on ...

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing ok, I have been off the boards a bit, feeling low, but am hoping to start cycling again next month.

Kelly, that is awesome news - 10 follies?! that is amazing, especially since you said you had only 4 the last time? What do you think explains it? Is it a case of ...

Hi ladies, thanks for your messages including the private ones that I have not figured out how to reply to yet !

There has been a lot of good news on the board lately. That is fantastic news Bonnie and Suzanne!

I have been reading about chemical pregnancies and they do seem to be quite common ...

Hello everyone, sorry I have been out of touch.

Sadly, I have just had a chemical pregnancy. I tested positive from 12days past ovulation for 2 or 3 days, then started to bleed quite heavily. I have just done a final HPT and it was negative. So sad and frustrating !

How common are chemical ...

Hi ladies, am back from my ski trip in France. I started bleeding quite heavily and sadly had a miscarriage, although technically, I suppose it was a chemical pregnancy ( I tested positive for 3 days and then started to bleed) as it was too early to be called a miscarriage. I did a final HPT and it ...

thanks everyone for your good wishes. Sadly I am now getting bright red bleeding. I have not had a beta yet, as I am out of the country so won't be able to have a test for at least another 5 days.

I called the RE and they simply said to incrase the progesterone pessaries from 1 to 2 a day but that ...

Kelly, I like your honesty. I have to agree that 44/45 is going to be tricky with your own eggs, but as everyone will tell you, it all depends on the individual.

I am supposed to wait until next Friday for my beta (actually my clinic asked me to do a HPT on that day) but I think I might try to ...

Rhonda, that is such good news, what a relief. Hopefully you can sit back and enjoy the pregnancy?! Although frankly, this whole business is a worry from start to finish, will my follies grow, will there be eggs that are mature, will they fertilise, etc etc etc one big stress-fest!

I am on day 7 ...
