Hi, Caz!
The problem is low count and low motility. They had icsi but the embryos did not implant. Eight out of 10 fertilized. Two embryos (1 8 cell, 1 7 cell) were transfered. One made it to day 5 and it has been frozen. They probably won't try again until summer 2005 when she has insurance and is ...

Jane, thanks for including me in the FCB. I read the board every day, but don't really have much to say. I'm really happy for those of you who had success this time and my heart breaks for those who did not. My daughter (Amy) is picking up the pieces. This cycle was paid for out of pocket ($13,000 ...

Pregnant in spite of male factor?

Has anyone ever heard of someone getting after IVF in spite of severe male factor?

I just paid $13,000.00 for my daughter to have IVFw/ICSI. That was for one treatment and it was BFN. She won't be able to try again until better insurance kicks in. :(

As expected, my daughter got a BFN today. Needless to say, they were both devestated. Her dad and I also had a good cry. She wants to try again right away, but we to muster up the funds. They are also talking about adoption. I just feel numb. Does male factor contribute to the failure to implant ...

Thanks, everybody, for the well wishes for tomorrow. Her appt. is at 2:00 p.m. and she is going to ask the dr. to call at 4:00 so her dh will be there to get the call with her. I'm soooo ready for her to get past tomorrow. This has taken such an emotional toll on her and she is my heart. I'll let ...

I'm so sorry for you negative Dizzy. Take care of yourself.

I'm so sad, also, for my daughter. Against the advice, she did the hpt again today and got a BFN at 12dp3dt. She's sure it's over, just waiting for the beta. The faint pink line yesterday must have been an evaporation line.

Does PIO cause ...

Hi, ladies!
I know you are all right in saying that my daughter shouldn't use hpt's. Her dr. told her not to, but she had one left and she used it this a.m. She said it had a very faint line, but it took 10 minutes to get the line, so she didn't put much faith in the test. She also said she wasn't ...

I think my daughter's positive attitude is starting to dwindle. She caved in and did an hpt yesterday and this a.m. Both neg. Today she is 10dp3dt. She told me when I visited today that she doen't feel any different, so she knows she's not pregnant. My heart just aches for her (and all of you in the ...

Yes, Traci, my daughter's beta March 5. Will your dh be home for the test? She bought some baby things yesterday. I really wish she wouldn't do that, but she is sooo hopeful. I was with her all last week, but I'm back to work today (kindergarten teacher).
God bless you all!

My daughter is in Alabama. Her dr only put back 2 because he said she had such a good chance of this working and he didn't want her to have more than two babies. I hope and pray he is right and not just saying this to be nice.

Hi, everyone!
Loopy, 12 is great! My daughter had 8 fertilize. 5 looked good by day 3 and she had 2 transferred (1 eight cell grade 4 and 1 seven cell grade 4, with grade 5 the best). Of the three that were left, only one made it to blastocyst on day 5. That one was frozen. She goes for her beta on ...
