Hi Mel,
My daughter was 2 weeks early and weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. ... she also had a rather large head. The only complication for her during birth was a broken collarbone (which healed naturally on its own). My labor was approx. 12 hours and I pushed for 1.5 hrs. Small episiotomy with a slight tear ...

Hi Gigi,
I was 36 when I was pregnant with my daughter. I read about all prenatal tests and the related risks. I opted not to do the CVS and decided on the nuchal (triple screen) instead. If my results came back showing an elevated risk for abnormalities, then I was going to do an amnio. In the end ...

Hi Justine,
My little girl Hannah arrived 2 weeks early, but she wasn't small (weighed in at 8 lbs. 10 oz.). Personally ... I was happy she came earlier (could have ended up weighing 10 lbs.).

It will be interesting to hear from others.

Good luck with #2 =)

Angel,
I also had my first ultrasound around the 6 week mark, and had a heartbeat in the low 90's. They did seem a little concerned, and scheduled me for another US the following week. Apparently in many cases they catch it when the heart first starts beating, so it hasn't yet reached the safe zone ...

Dania,
I didn't have any pain with the fibroid during my pregnancy. The only time I recall feeling anything at all was towards the end when it was really obvious from the outside. My doctor would always press on it to feel it's boundaries. It didn't hurt, but it did feel somewhat uncomfortable to ...

Hi Dania,
I had a fibroid prior to IVF and IUI. They new about it before I started my rounds of fertility treatments, but realized there wasn't much they could do about it. Many times they grow back after being surgically removed. Then there's the option of having uterine fibroid embolism to cut off ...

Hi All,
I have mixed feelings regarding vaccines. I have a cousin with two children (boy and girl) and both have autism. She's very against pretty much all vaccinations, and sends me info all the time via email. I can see both sides of the debate, but in the end decided that it was more important to ...

Hi Sue!
Hope your babies are feeling better. It's terrible when they have a cold. Their little noses get so stuffy. I always wish I could blow Hannah's nose for her. The little suction bulbs do the trick, but I swear it's torture to her.

Hannah still LOVES her feet. I usually "free them" every ...
