Jane, it's the myomectomy, so if it's £5000, that's like 7,000 in euros, which is going to be too much cause I've already been quoted 4000 euros to have it done here in France.
I was doing great on the health scale on my recent trip to California (I was there the first half of July)--was following Zita's diet (where eating fresh beets taught me for the first time that they turn your stools red--weird experience!!), nuts, whole grains, no wheat, no sodas, lots of ...
Ok, thanks, Sandra. Having never been to England before, though, I presume I would be looking in London? Does anyone know of any good clinics there? Just for an idea of the cost differential, it would also help if anyone knows what an IVF costs in UK without insurance (in the US for example it is a ...
I just had a crazy thought, but I don't have any idea how medical costs compare between France and England. I have been told I would have to pay 2000 euros for fibroid surgery including 4 days in the hospital.
But since everything closes down in France in August, I lose a month off my fertility. If ...
I have liked to think, well, I never had a wild youth, spent little time in the sun, ate pretty healthy (though too much and did smoke for a brief period in college!), didn't take birth control (didn't have to with my late hubby), and that therefore I must ...
I am sorry to read this news. I am glad, however, that you still have one to comfort you. I don't know if that helps, but I hope so and I'm thinking of you.
I'm sorry about that--it sounds like a tough situation, and I can entirely relate to that!
For me, I had some not great news today. I saw the doctor finally (it takes a month and a half at my clinic in France to get an appt) to discuss my next IVF attempt. I brought him an ultrasound I'd ...
I was just checking in quickly after days away and saw your post. I'm surprised and sorry to read your news, but yes, you do have the knowledge that it can work for you, and that's worth a lot. That's good that you are already getting back on track with planning; that will help you overcome ...
I didn't realize you were doing a cycle at this time. Sorry for being so out of the loop. It sounds like things are going really well, and I'm very happy for you.
Nice to meet you, too. Don't worry, I'm right behind you--will be 43 in August. No, there were no frosties because the 3 other embryos weren't great looking and didn't continue developing and so they didn't freeze them. Planning to do another cycle around August, though really worried ...
Just my two cents... I think the risk of twins, let alone triplets, at 43 is very minimal. And at 42, after having three eight-cell embryos (two grade A, one grade B) transferred in May with none taking, I'd say go for three if you have three!!
Sandra, Debra, Little P, and all--Yes, I think just to have a first French job would be good for many reasons. The interview was yesterday and went well, but the marketing mgr was hesitating even though interested in my capacities because he was thinking I am overqualified and that the job ...
