good luck!
I would be happy that you are doing IVF. It has MUCH higher success rates than IUI, so I think it is a good thing to move onto IVF - I wish we'd done it sooner.
OUr second IVF was successful I find the waiting/hoping the hardest part.
Be kind to your wife!
I appreciated my partner coming ...

I go the BFP on my second IVF cycle, which was an unmedicated FET.
They put back two, and one succeeded.

Well I am in the process of weaning off mine - went to once a day for a week instead of twice a day, and then to every second day for a week, and then to none at all. I have to say I have basically felt better and better - less tired and less sick. And I've had blood tests the whole way to check it ...

I'm so sorry - what terrible news for you.
I hope it all goes better than expected.
I haven't heard of this happening before.

I think there are all sorts of reasons for unexplained infertility. It may be that the ovaries need help to function, it may be that the sperm and the egg don't meet and fertilise on their own, or it may be that all that happens and the embryos don't implant properly in the womb. IVF makes sure ...

HI there,

I just wanted to say that in Australia there is talk of restricting all transfers to one embyo except for those over 40. So the odds of success must be fairly good with one = Good luck.

I think it is better a tiny bit. Becuase not all embryos will proceed to blastocyst stage - some will just give up. So if you go with 2 Blastocysts you are at least guaranteed 2 that have got that far.

Hi Doreen,

it is hard to say, cos all doctors/clinics are different, and also it will depend on your cycle - whether it is long.short regular etc.
Normally you start downregulation medications at the start of your next period. I can't even remember when you go to the stimulating medications ...

I read somewhere that older style antihistamines like polaramine are ok - but I would check with a medical advice line efore taking them.
good luck - I am getting it a bit too, but just trying to stay inside and drink cold drinks.

Hi Julesg,
no official due date yet. The next appointment I have is my 12 week scan just before Christmas.
The doctor told me off a bit for having a full bladder - if he keeps us waiting for an hour in the waiting room what does he expect - and an hour is on a good day - he is too busy.
I haven't ...

I found out at the day 10 blood test (ten days after ovulation/trigger injection). So about 5 days after they were put back in. This was a very very low positive from a blood test. only 10HCG. It didn't show up on home preg tests. I then had a good hcg at day 12 - 60. So that was the day they really ...

At first he could see nothing, cos my bladder was full. He triued the external scan but too blurry. I had to get dressed, go outside to the bathroom + come back to try ...

In Australia we are only allowed two also. But I would have put back 3 given the choice - three of ours had thawed out. Also I feel like it gives you a higher chance of succeeding. My doctor also said that in an emergency case of say quins, they can actually stop some of the embryos from growing at ...

I dont' really know about all the stages of the cells, but I had two put back after thawing out. They will only put back two in Australia - which i think is a pity after all we have to go through to get to that point, we may as well get the best chance. One of mine that thawed out had to be re ...
