I don't want to be borrowing trouble as I have already had enough hassle due to being forced to change clinics by my ...

transfer of NHS funding

its a long and boring story but we were intially refused NHS funding (my husband has an 18 year old daughter that we see 3 times a year if we are lucky) and went to a lovely local clinic (with excellent success rates). I had an excellent cycle and did get preg but miscarried.

Our GP never told us ...

Got a bit uncomfortable as i got close to retrieval it felt like my belly was full of water balloons!

The ER was fine and I had sedation. i don't remember any of it.

Was quite uncomfortable for a couple of days after but I would not say it was painful, standing up for long periods of time was ...

Hi clair,

its a while since i saw your message and i don't know if you are trying to appeal.

I've already said that i'm in similar circumstances to you and have successfully appealed. we are now trying to be allowed to use our funding at the centre we had our first cycle.

While researching to ...

naming my baby

thanks for the suggestion that I give my baby a name. We both thought it was a boy although there is no logical reason for thinking this. I have decided to call the baby Michael after my sister Michaela.

Thanks for your advice. Am having a relatively good week. (Three days in row with no tears ...

less angry more determined

have spoken to my old clinic (Hull) and they are going to write to Leeds. Hopefully will help. Also Hull have written to my PCT and MP about getting my funding transferred so I can go back to them. Why they make you go all the way to leeds when hull is 15mins away I don't know. Maybe a plan to ...

Thanks to everyone who's replied to this and given me info on the high FSH stream.

glad i'm not the only one who seems to know more then the doctors seem to.

My husband calls doctors 'mechanics' - they know how to fix it but they don't get why it broke!

Keep hoping everyone ...

Feel free to join in

FSH

thanks for being so positive - i'm now at Leeds (its a long story but my PCT refused funding so I first went to Hull as 15 miles away - and then I finally won my appeal but have to go to Leeds - 65 miles away)

A lot of what the dr said is contradicted in their booklet. She also told me my emby's ...

2 day periods

Mine also 2-3 days no one ever suggested a problem and I responded OK during IVF. Quote 'What a lovely endometrium' from the bloke harvesting my eggs. (You don't really want people making you laugh when you've a probe stuck up your bits but it did make me relax!)

FSH

my FSH is 9.5 which according to research I've done is high but not extremely high. I'm 33 by the way. Anybody able to tell me more...

I also wondered if dr was negative because she did not want to take us now that I feel calmer feels a bit like a hidden agenda. She said IVF very unlikely to work ...

paying for IVF

my husband has a 18 year old daughter and we were also told that we had to pay. A year later I discovered by accident that we should have been told to appeal. Was mid way through 1st ICSI at the time. Wrote to the PCT involved and said that I did not have what they call 'parental experience' (we ...
