EC and ET aftercare

Hi there

I wonder if anyone can help. I'm due to go for EC on Weds 30th and then for ET the Monday following. Trying to sort out work etc and can't remember which one (or is it both?) that I'm not supposed to drive for 48 hours after? Can anyone help? Maybe I should keep work as it is and just call ...

Oh my goodness...this is probably all too late now but I've just stumbled upon your post and have to tell you our story (I'll try to keep it brief!)

My DF also suffers with azoospermia. He did 3 samples all showing no sperm. He too, went a little crazy - really upset, angry. Couldn't handle it and ...

Well...here we go again!

Hi all

Having been blessed with our DS from our first ICSI attempt (he's now almost 15 months), I find myself being drawn back here as we approach our 2nd go! We're booked in to start again in January. The consultant has decided it's best for me to be on the Orgalutran regime this time as ...

Just to have my moan....Neither of us had any children, and STILL had to find the money and go privtae. We needed ICSI/IVF but because the 'problem' lied with DP as opposed to myself - no help. All we got on the NHS were 3 seman samples, all of which we had to fight for, and came back 0 sperm count ...

Does anyone ever think about their 'other' embryo?

Don't misunderstand me...I still can't believe to this day that we were lucky enough to have our very own son - now 5 months old and absolutely gorgeous!! However, since he was born and I suppose now having experienced the love you have for your own child, I can't stop thinking about the other ...

He's arrived!

Hi everyone

Our beautiful baby boy Alfie arrived at 2.28am on 17th August. After an action packed but quick (about 4 hrs) labour, he's here safe and sound...Forceps delivery; Episiotomy for me; Clamp on his head to monitor heart beat, then bloods also taken while he was still inside - war wounds to ...

Thanks everyone else too. Here's a quick update...

Went for a scan etc yesterday. Baby's waist measurement has increased so they are happier now. The plan is (unless baby arrives before which I really hope is the case!) to go next Tues for ...

Thank you all so much. Luckily we're super organised so everything is ready if Flump arrives.

Been to hospital today. The preliminary bloods came back normal so it's looking good. CTG went well and just what they would expect. Lots of tightenings. Head's engaged. Midwife (taken over from my usual ...

Oh my! Can't believe I've got a countdown of my very own! It feels so weird!

Monitoring went fine today, and preliminary bloods came back fine too. Midwives say my belly is all baby and they're not quite sure how I'm managing to breath!! Head's engaged now, so we're on our way.

I have to admit, I ...

Thanks everyone - Been to see m/w today and she's taken some bloods because of risk of Cholestasis. Apparently if they find there's a problem, they like to deliver baby early at 37/38 wks. However, the second part of the result which is the part that will really tell them if there's a problem, takes ...

Oooo, I've got the itches!!

Should I be worried? For the last 4/5 days, especially towards the evening and through the night, I've been itching practically everywhere - arms, legs (lower and feet especially), back, boobs, bum. Strangely not my belly really thoguh. Is this normal, or am I a freak, or is something wrong? I'm 38 ...

Hi ya

Glad I'm not the only sexually frustrated one!

Cla - Thanks for the cold water bottle trick - will definitely try that. Have been surviving upstairs until about 2am, then giving up and coming downstairs or outside where it's a little cooler!

Mandy - They like your iron level to be between ...
