Kate,

Many thanks -- it's very helpful to hear, even second-hand, about your friend's good experience there (though sorry that it was not a BFP this time around). It is very intensive, which is my main concern. As for going abroad, I have not considered Sweden but thanks for the lead.

New York is ...

ARGC Advice needed

Hello all,

I am considering starting my next cycle at the ARGC, having tried for the last few four years at the Lister. I really liked ALL the consultants I dealt with and the nurses at the Lister, but I had three cycles and 1 IUI, + 1 lapro and 1 myomectomy. My last cycle (first one post ...

Many thanks for your note. I'm so very sorry that you and your wife had to endure this twice! How gut wrenching! I wish you both the best as you continue your journey.

They are still monitering me and it is too early for an ultrasound at this stage but I'm trying to prepare myself for whatever ...

Advice Needed -- possible ectopic?

Could anyone please explain what it means to have a possible ectopic pregnancy?

Had a pregnancy test on Friday and was told first that there was a 50-50 chance I was pregnant and that they would send my results to the lab for clarification. A few agonizing hours later, was told that yes, it was a ...

Oh Jan, I'm so sorry to hear this news. I hope you are able to take some time to grieve and also to find the support that you and DH need during this difficult time. As you said, it is likely a sign that something was not quite right, though despite one's ability to intellectually understand the ...

Hi ladies,

I had been having some spotting as of yesterday afternoon, but was trying ot keep my hopes up. But today it looks like full blown AF has arrived.

Totally gutted and yet feeling kind of numb. Probably because I had to give a lecture today (am a prof) -- and had to throw myself ...

Tony,

I know a lot of people who have used both NYU and cornell and everyone has said that they are factories. However, their success rate is very high. If I were still in Manhattan (am now living in London), I think my first choice would be cornell, but I would go with the understanding that they ...

I would suggest calling or emailing the Zita West clinic (www.zitawest.com or 0207 580 2169) and asking them for recommendations. I have been using their acupuncturists throughout this cycle and they are amazing, incredibly knowledgeable, and also just have great energy. Good luck.

Hello ladies,

LISAB75 -- hope the open house and auction were a huge success! Sounds like it must have been tons of work -- hope that you have some downtime this week to squeeze in a few naps (and perhaps make nice with your cat again -- LOL).

How are those cravings? Mexican sounds sooooo good ...

Hello ladies --

Where are you??? Did everyone take my noise-complaint about city life to heart and decide to give me some "quiet time" on the thread?

Another glorious sunny day outside -- it is actually HOT and feels like summer. Took another short walk but fear I may have overexerted ...

Hello ladies! 8)

I emerged from my house for the first time today since starting bed-rest on Saturday and took a very slow walk to a nearby cafe for some air and some breakie. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, spring is definitely hovering in the air here in London today (as, alas, are ...

Hello ladies,

ET was on Saturday and DH has had me off-line and in bed or on the couch since then! Had a hilarious experience with the entire process. We arrived at the clinic, huge bottle of water in hand that I had been trying to chug in the taxi, and one of the nurses sees me and says, "is your ...

Hi,

Have you considered having your current clinic run the immune tests? Mine ran some for me after my last IVF cycle. All seemed okay, though my NK (natural killer cells -- quite the name) were very slightly elevated. They have me on steroids for this next cycle to see if that helps.

Also, I ...
