Just got back from my first scan. We were able to see twins but only 1 has a detectable heartbeat. There other one is much tinier. Daly - the reason they rechecked my HCG is that my numbers were looking so great they thought I might be able to ween myself off of the hormones I was taking. I am happy to say that I don't have to do any more progesterone shots!!! It is nice to get an update, though, that the numbers are continuing ...

Bella - so glad the scan went well. I think the size can range quite a bit - so don't worry If you're baby stays on the small side - you will be very thankful during delivery!

I just got my beta level back this afternoon. My first scan has been moved up to this Mon - because they're quite sure I'm having twins! I've been going back and forth between elation and sheer terror all afternoon. I have to say - if it's twins I've been pretty fortunate so far - no excessive m/s ...

I went in for another blood test today - will get the results this afternoon. This is my last appnt until my fist scan on 4/17/06. (Or 17/4/06 for those in the UK). I am so anxious - this wait has been harder ...

Ahart - seeing blood is so scary - even though we're told it is not all that unusual. I hope that little baby hangs on. Reading through these message boards you learn that truly miraculous things can happen. I hope you feel better soon!

Daly - we should be due around the same time - Dec 5th (according to my calculations - I have yet to hear a due date from my doc). Good luck for your 2nd blood draw today - I hope you get a high HCG number!
