Just wanted to pop in and see how you ladies are doing...I know this beginning part is tough emotionally. You are so over the moon excited to be pregnant finally, but at the same time you want to get past the first trimester fears. Try not to worry and just enjoy the thought of the little one growing inside of you...pretty soon it'll be more than just a thought! Hope you are all doing well and look forward to seeing your due dates on the due date thread :D :D :D

Hi All...

I've been a bit worried to pop over to this side of the world :-)

I got a BFP on 17th March, and am going for my first scan next Friday (7th April). I am soooo worried - it's just impossile to believe that I am actually pregnant. Last week my breasts were swollen & very sore, but this week...nothing. I haven't been sick at all yet either. All that worries me - I just can't wait until next Friday when I can at least see my baby's heartbeat. Did any of you ladies go through this stage without any sickness?

Anyway - great to read you are all doing well, and most of you nearly at your 12 week mark. :P

Hi everyone!

Not sure I belong here yet....Very early bfp.

Bella, I decided to post after reading your post. I am a bit superstitious and feel I can't come over to this side yet either. I'm so fearful I'll lose this one as I have several mc in the past. I have my second hcg to check for doubling on Fridayand then a scan the following week. We are only 2 weeks apart and I wasn't even sure where to post since it is soooo early. BTW, I'm obsessed about my boobs too. They've been less tender last couple of days. I would love to be vomiting buckets with hugely sore boobs. :o Very glad to see you're in similar time frame. Huge congrats to you making it to 2 weeks! Every day feels like a big deal this early on!

Big congrats to so many people almost making it to 2 trimester. Sounds like a dream come true!

Daly -

I read about your BFP this morning...CONGATULATIONS again!!! Don't worry about what happened in the past - this little baby is different, and ready to grow up strong!

I was forever poking my boobs to make sure they were still sore! But now, they're not really sore either. Oh well, maybe I'll be one of those 'lucky ones' who doesn't get sick. Ha! Be nice to be lucky with something ;-)

Bella and Daly, I did not get sick at all in my first trimester and I am now 31 weeks with a very healthy baby girl :) Everyone is different. It's easy for me to say now, but I also remember how it felt in that first trimester. Think positive it'll be good for both of you :)

How fun to see all the newcomers!!! Congratulations to you all :D

I have not had any pregnancy symptoms as of yet - just one bout of what may have been nausea - but passed within one minute and no sickness... :) . Boobs have not been sore since I quit the stims - so you are all on the road to a great pregnancy!

Look forward to hearing all about your HCG levels and that first ultrasound when you'll see the heart flickering away :). I was tentative coming over here too - but you ARE pregnant - and who would have ever thought!!!!

Congratulations again :)

Thankyou so much for the welcome. I still feel kind of like I'm sneaking where I don't belong! I just had second beta drawn today and will find out the doubling time tomorrow morning. So good to hear your symptoms went down after stopping stims. That's what I'm experiencing as well.

I need to get a ticker tape going. Maybe after I see a good doubling :D

Hi daly and Bella,

Glad to see you have made it to the other side! Don't worry about no symptoms. I am .like gregmbarry and have had no nausea or sore boobs. They are only now starting to feel much firmer.

Julie you and i are still on the same timeline - ec/et/ due date and now scan date. Good luck on the 11th!

Had a scary moment this afternoon. went to loo and found brown discharge! Arghh!! Luckily i live opposite a midwife - how handy is that. She is a good friend and was nice and calm. Brought over her superdooper heart monitor thingy to see if she could hear anything beside my stomach gurgling. As i am only just over 11 weeks she said not to panic if we didn't as you normally only hear it at 14weeks with one of these machines. Low and behold though after a bit of searching i heard my little minnows heart. Phew. I was so relieved as i had all those panicky thoughts that all going horribly wrong. She thinks we were able to hear it because of the ohss so ovaries still large nad have pushed uterus up quite a lot. i didn't really care why just so excited to hear the heart.
Can't wait for nuchal scan to see minnow!

Looking forward to hearing how your first scans and to the more advanced girls your scans. It is all starting to feel quite real now.

Love Saraid

Hi,
Without going into too much detail, you may notice that my signature has changed. Haven't gotten the courage to change the ticker yet. I've posted on the Babies Loved and Lost.

I don't want to be a downer on this thread, so please visit my post on the other board.

Thanks,
Julie

Hi Girls!
I'm a newcomer to this particular thread - I just received my BFP news on Tues 3/28. I'm a little paranoid about posting here - like I might jinx myself. I've had a miscarriage before - so I'm sure I'll be a nervous nelly for the next 3 months. Bella - your last post made me laugh - because I wake up every morning and the first thing I do is poke my boobs to make sure they are still tender!
Congrats to all

Saraid,

How lucky you have a midwife with a doppler right close to you!!!! I'd be calling every day to hear the heartbeat. I'm another nervous nelly though - I'm sure my doctor is already sick of me :). That would be a scare though - the brown discharge - BUT - remember that right around normal expected period there could be some discharge. I had some at 4 weeks and at 8 weeks and none so far in my 12th week....knock on wood.

My next scan isn't until the end of May - another 8 weeks!

Welcome Deirdre...welcome to the boob poking club...hehehee. Mine aren't tender but I check every day just in case :)

Hi everyone. WEll my doubling time is 38 h. :D Very relieved to have good growth. I will take the plunge and try to make a ticker tape for the first US sheduled in just over 2 weeks. (not sure if I'll get it to work yet)

Saraid - I have dreams of the dreaded blood on tissue. So glad everything is fine. Lucky you to have a midwife so nearby.

Julie - So sorry about your little one. A friend in NY also just lost one of her twins and stated she could sense even when it happened. Hugs to you and you little angel.

So glad to hear lots of you don't have symptoms. My only remaining symptom is only mildly (every so often) tender breasts and a funny taste in mouth.

Happy Week-end everyone!!!

Hello all,

and special hello and big fat congratulations to all fellow March BFPers!!

Hope its Okay if I join you. I posted once before but like you girls felt like a skulky cheater and was a bit too scared to come back! Well feel comforted by the other Marchers on here and finally feel like this might actually be real after having first scan and seeing heartbeat this week.

Counting every day as a blessing and trying to take one day at a time and get to the end of the first trimester as calmly as I can (yeah right!) impossible not to worry about somehing though. Doc said baby was long for 7.5 wks at 16mm so am googling away to see if 16mm fetus could be a bad thing! Should just be happy means s/he probably wont have my short legs!

No symptoms for me until around week 7 and now feel constantly car sick and want to eat only things like mashed potatoes and pears (no not together) ... which isnt helpful. Typically got sore boobs finally, but they aint any bigger (rats!).

Julie - so sorry to hear of your loss :( hope you are all Okay and are able to stay rested and as calm.

Daly - good news on the blood levels  will you keep having them checked? Know when your scan date is?

Bella - its April .. which means only 6 more sleeps till you see your little one!! Are you hanging in there Okay?

GregmBarry - How wonderful to be at the 12 week mark! Does it feel like a milestone? Any evidence of baby bump yet? When do they start popping up? Cant wait!

Saraid - Heart monitering on tap! How comforting!! Your almost at 12wks, time for celebrating! I havent had any bleeding but did read on some other posts that the brown blood is always safe and is just old coming away? Of course impossible not to worry though. Are you any bigger yet?

(ps: Daly and Deidre - do you know theres a another early BFP thread too ("waiting for first scan") where the boob-squeezing-pant-checking bunch have been whiling away the wait for the first scan and sharing the pure joy and blessing of seeing the wee beans on the scan for the first time. )

Hope everyone has a restful happy boob squeezing weekend

Mel P,

12 weeks has felt like a milestone - sort of...although I have read that once you see the heartbeat that your chance of miscarriage lowers to 10% - so that's when I felt the most relief. I have been tenative since a few weeks ago when my dr said that my cervix was open a little bit. BUT that was the first time this dr had examined me - so it's most likely that he was mistaken. I'm supposed to be getting an appt with my ob/gyn but getting in to see him is next to impossible.

As for showing...apparently it's a long wait. I've asked a few friends and they said they didn't show until around 20 weeks. ALTHOUGH I definitely see a bit of a belly - and my clothes are uncomfortable. I think you can tell yourself - but noone else can.

Good luck on all of your first scans...I'll be peeking on both first and second trimester boards now.
