Good luck!

I had almost the same numbers on my first IVF attempt. Everything looked great until day 5 and then I only had two blasts left for the transfer and nothing to freeze. For my 2nd IVF attempt, I had similar numbers but they did a day 3 transfer with assisted hatching. I guess that made all the ...

I had the same thing happen after my failed IVF cycle. It took AF 38 days to show up. My RE told me that it takes two cycles for all of the meds to clear your body.

Good luck with a future BFP.

Egg Quality Question For Ghost

Hi Ghost - I'm hoping you may be able to give some insight on my recent IVF failure. I just had my follow up appointment with my RE and reviewed all the details of my cycle.

My RE retrieved 23 oocytes and 17 were mature for ICSI. The quality distribution prior to fertilization was 4 good, 11 fair ...

Hi Michelle - I had a 5 day transfer on 8/13 and will have my beta test on Thursday. We are just one day apart. I'm nervous too, since I've had very light spotting the past two days. I'm hoping it could be implantation spotting but who knows!

Were your embryos at the blastocyst stage on your day 5 ...

I would avoid the HPTs. There is too much room for error. That is why your RE has a scheduled beta test date.

I would go with your doc and transfer all 4. My clinic will only freeze if the embryos make it to blastocyst (day 5 or 6) since they would be strong enough (most likely) to survive the freeze and thaw process. If you transfer only two, there is a likely chance that your two might not make it through ...

You might want to check into ARC. They offer a bunch of different financing options: www.arcfertility.com.

That's great you have drug coverage. My 1st cycle meds were over 4k.

Good luck - Angie

I've currently on my 1st IVF cycle and I'm begining to realized why it is so costly. Basically from the time of ER to ET the embryologist works together on with your doc to monitor and assess your embryos. It's a 24 hour process, not to mention the surgery and meds.

Have you checked into your ...

I know it's had not to exercise! I usually go to the gym 3 or 4 times per week. My doc told me to avoid the gym once I started my stimulation injections. No bouncing and lifiting over 10 pounds. After my ET he required 72 hours of bed rest and then no exercising until after the beta test.

I haven ...

ICSI is when they inject a single sperm into a mature egg. I had 17 mature eggs at ER and all ICSI'd. 11 Fertilized and they transfered 2 back on day 5.
