Lots of eggs, low survival rate. Pls help!!!

Hi! I had my retrieval on Nov. 7th, had 34 eggs, 29 mature, 22 fertilized successfully. I hyperstimulated, so transfer was a no go and was told I would receive a letter with my final numbers that were frozen. The letter came yesterday and stated that we only had 2 frozen embies left. One was good to ...

Hi! I just had my retrieval on November 7th and ended up with OHSS. It became evident to me after a few days. I took the retrieval day off work and the following day but had to call in the rest of the week. I was just excessively sore, my belly was distended (more than with the meds), had heartburn ...

Hi! The same thing happened to me. I got the dreaded Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome just two weeks ago. Because of the over-stimulation, your estrogen levels are just too high and would not allow for good implantation in the uterus (at least that is how I understand it). My clinic stated that ...

Hi! I started my birth control pills on Sunday and I know I take them for 3 weeks. Do I still have a change of doing IVF in October? I know everyone is different but I am still unclear on the general timeline. Thanks!

Thanks all! I am pretty sure it will go on credit cards for us. Which in the end will be ok because we are in the process of selling our old house and will be able to pay off the cards (I hope :? ). I just think it is so unfair, but such is life!

If anyone is interested, I went to the RESOLVE ...

Thanks Auntypebbles!

You made me feel much better!!! I know everyone is different and I may not have to do as many meds as some because my ovaries are already working overtime. I can't wait to get this ball rolling and I am afraid I may get pushed to November. Thanks again!

Hi! Question about starting the whole IVF process. I am scheduled for IVF in October but all the nurse said to me was "call when you start your period in September". Is that when all the "fun" begins? Is that normal? When do you normally start the shots in your cycle? Is it different for everyone ...

How did you pay for IVF?

Hi all! I live in Arizona and there are no laws mandating that insurance companies cover any infertility treatments or even diagnostic tests. My insurance does not cover anything infertility related. Did anyone pay by borrowing against their retirement (401k, IRA, etc.)? Or any other option for ...

Hi Corinna! Sorry to be nosy, but your post hit home for me. I feel for you as we are going to have to do ICSI too. We had our first RE appointment yesterday and he stated a 58% success rate for the first IVF/ICSI and up to 94% or better by the 3rd IVF/ICSI cycle. The Dr. said frozen embies have a ...

Can anyone help?

Hi! New to the board and have some questions. My DH and I have been TTC for 5 cycles (not many, I know), but I felt there was something wrong. After some initial tests, I have found that I have polycystic ovaries (not PCOS) which can be treated with Clomid and my DH has very low sperm count (small ...
