I think if you inject the fluid too fast it can cause more pain. My husband gave me all of my shots in the leg and sometimes it really hurt and other times I hardly felt it. By the way, you have a very pretty name, Clarissa. :D

Good luck to you, Leslie

My first IVF in Sept 2006 ended in a negative. Out of 16 eggs, 9 fertilized. They put 3 in me and we were gonna freeze the other 6. Not one of the 9 made it..... I felt devastated.... didn't even have any left to freeze and try again. Not sure what's next as we really don't have the money ...

I'm glad to hear how you were so supportive of your husband. I know how he feels, as I'm the one standing in the way of us having a baby. My husband is supportive too, but still..... I do feel like a failure.

We only told my sister during our IVF, which we regretted since she told several other ...

Hi Jane

Hi Jane

I had a lap to open up my tubes back in Oct 2000. Then I actually got pregnant naturally in late July/early Aug of 2001, but it was ectopic (stuck in my tube) and they had to do another lap to take it out... nothing could be done to save the baby.

I've had 4 laps in my whole life (41 now ...

We had 3 embryos transferred because of my age... I was 40. The actual procedure was a breeze.... no pain at all except I really had to use the BR. They wanted a full bladder and believe me, they got one. I was not happy w/the outcome though because it resulted in a negative. Oh, and triplets ...

Hi Vanitha

My heart goes out to you. I don't know what PCO is so I'll have to read up on it. I just wanted to respond because I'm 41 and have been married 13 years also. I'm getting ready for my 2nd IVF as the first one was unsuccessful. I'm really regretting all the years that I put this off. The ...

Hi Cat

Thank you so much for rooting for me. :D I'm rooting for you also. I have to say I'm very jealous about the nasal spray. I didn't know you could even do that!!! I am so dreading those injections again. I hope to keep reading about your successful progress. May we all have positive ...

Hi Bonnycat

I know what you mean about getting answers from the clinic. And I remember how stressful it is on the first IVF. You will be OK, just hang in there.

Here's how my IVF worked. I started Lupron shots on day 21. Then when you get your next period, you are supposed to call them and they ...

Thank you Auntie and Denise. I won't find out until next Tues what the Doc has to say. Hopefully they'll decrease the dose after I start the other meds also, but I haven't heard that from them. I'm just so dreading putting all those meds in my body again.

Hope to hear about your positive also ...

What are some Lupron dosages, please.

Hi Ladies,

If anyone wouldn't mind, could you tell me what dose of Lupron you got prescribed? On my first cycle it was 10 units, but for my 2nd cycle it will be 20 units. I thought I had a good response: 16 follicles, each had an egg in it and 9 eggs fertilized. It just scares me to have it doubled ...

Hi Rachel

I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby...

I just wanted to tell you that my doc suggests using donor eggs. I'm 40 like you and he said the eggs become abnormal at age 35. I had good responses throughout my whole cycle, so it was a shock that none out of three transferred embryos ...

Hi Chinamiff

My heart goes out to you. My one failure was hard enough, but you've had three in one year. So sorry that you've been through that. I know someone w/ endometriosis and had two embryos transferred... they both implanted... one was stillborn, but the other one is fine.

My doc seems to ...
