Kelly - You mean mature eggs. Not all eggs retrieved will be mature and not all follies contain eggs. Once an egg gets fertilized, it will divide into cells. Typically 2 cells, then 3-4 cells, then eventually to 8 cells by day 3. Some aren't 8 cells by day 3 and that's okay too. I've heard women ...

Hopeful_Dad - I was so saddened and touched reading your story and your heartbreaking news. :( It sounds like what happened is called a chemical pregnancy. I went thru one myself in October 2006. Needless to say, it was just as devastating as any loss. Many hugs and prayers to your and your wife ...

Hi
Glad you found the information helpful.

One question I have is how to know what websites are credible?
I think what you can do is contact your local IVF surgery center or Reproductive Endocrinologist and see who they like to use or recommend. There are also advertisements in CONCEIVE magazine ...

3rd Party Repro Broadcast

Hi
Let me first off say that your decision to want to be an egg donor is a very selfless and generous thing. I am currently going thru an IVF cycle with a 26 yr old donor, so I may be able to help you with some of your questions.

One, you can either meet someone that is seeking an egg donor on ...

Hi Ellen
So glad you found us!! That is so cool that we are seeing the same doc! I really like Dr. B. Was this your first IVF? How do you feel about how your cycle went, do you feel they retrieved a good amount of eggs? Congrats on entering the TWW! I will say a prayer for you and crossing my ...

Hi Kristina

You can check with your RE to see if they have a donor egg program. Its usually alot less expensive than going thru an agency. My RE charged a $3,000 donor fee. And you may also be able to get a discount on an IVF cycle if you are matched with someone going thru an IVF cycle that will ...

Hi
I thought I would be a good candidate to reply since I've also tried to conceived naturally, had 3 early m/c's and one chemical pg since trying in Sept 05. Have also done one cycle of IVF with ICSI (PGD cancelled on Day 2). Transferred 2 excellent looking embies (1-7 cell Grade B and 1-5 cell ...

I would suggest doing a mock cycle before the FET transfer. I just did one doing Delestrogen shots and PIO then ends in an endo biopsy to test for uterine receptivity.

Just a thought.

Sandra - :( So sorry your cycle was unsuccessful. Did Dr. Goodman give you a reason for the cycle failing? I think DH and I and Dr. B just chucked it up to poor egg quality. Even though we transferred a 7 cell Grade B on Day 3, they developed very slowly and whenever I did get pg naturally on our ...

Kristen,

You have been through so much already. I will say prayers for you for your BFP!! How do you feel about the results of your egg retrieval and embryo quality? Did you have any embies to freeze?

Prayers, luck and babydust to you.

Hi Kristin!

Thanks for sharing your story with me. I am sorry that you have also had a difficult journey. It is rare that your FSH is so high at your age as well. Does the dr seem concerned about that and how well you may stim?? Its unfortunate that they make us all wait to do any kind of testing ...

Thanks Ghost!

Kristin - That's great that you are seeing Dr. Goodman. I've heard good things. Have you gone thru all the testing already? And may I ask why are you going thru IVF?

Take care!
