Melanie- Just wanted to say keep your head up.
I had SEVERE endo, diagnosed 5 maybe 6 years ago. By the time it got diagnosed I had lost an ovary and a tube. We then discovered that I had endo on my diaphram, bowels, appendix, ovaries...everywhere. The doctor told me when he opened me up it looked like someone had poured a bottle of super glue all over my insides. THough he had been practicing for several years, and was world renowned (sp) he said he had never seen a case as severe as mine. He told me after the surgery I should be pregnant within 6 months. Didn't work
So, I sought another doctor who found that in my one remaining tube I had poison that would prevent me from getting pregnant. He said we needed to remove that tube and do IVF. I was devistated. I didn't understand why God would punish me so. After a lot of thought and prayers, we decided to go down the IVF route. WEll, we ended up pregnant after the first round. YIPPEE!!!
Two years later we wanted to try again, but were told that I had polyps and those had to be removed before starting anything. Well, it didn't fit out time frame, so we put it all off for another year.
This past year I had the polyps removed. HOwever, we were devistated at my initial appointment to learn that the endo had returned and was in full force. However, we decided to conitnue and see where it took us. I responded to the stimms really, really well. THerefore, they said the endo was not a factor in anything. Unfortunately, again we had to get the terrible news on the day of transfer that a polyp had formed on the cervical opening. THey were able to transfer my eggs, but I knew within 4 hours that it didn't take. And unfortuantely, I ended up with a BFN
HOwever, I just got off the phone with the doctor. He said that the endo was not a factor, and he just thinks that once we remove this polyp things will be wonderful.
I did think it was interesting that he said not to operate on the endo. With every operation you form scar tissue, and it affects your body. Therefore, he said if I can endure the pain he wants us to just go ahead and do a FET next summer.
Sorry to make the post long. However, I just wanted to let you know that I did become pregnant with endo, though it may not have been active at the time that I did it.
Please let me know how your post appointment goes with your doctor. I will be interested in hearing what he has to say.
