Ghost,

Thank you so much for your quick response- I knew I had a better chance of finding you if I posted on the ivf board. I will ask my doctor about the low dose of hcg- very interesting. I will keep you posted on what happens...

Thanks again, you are very much appreciated on these boards. With ...

GHOST- PLEASE HELP!!

Hi,

In a nutshell, here is the deal:

I am trying my third and final iui. I took letrozole on days 3-7 and then started 75 units of gonal f on day 7. I went in on day11 and had 3 bigger follicles (maybe 15-16mm) and 3 smaller ones (maybe 12mm). My doctor told me to continue the 75 units of gonal f ...

Anyone know anything about metformin?

Hi,

My new re just started me on metformin. I'm currently taking 500mg a day, but will increase to 1500mg over the next couple of weeks. I have PCOS, but I'm not insulin resistant. WHat can I expect? I'm thinking it's going to make me sick with GI issues, but so far I feel okay. Can you drink ...

Goosemis, thanks for your response. No, I've never had a endometrial biopsy and my new re did mention that we could do that. He said that we would do a mock transfer where I would do estrogen and progesterone just like I would in a real cycle and then do a biopsy. They would test my lining to make ...

Ghost- Anything I can do to improve chance of implantation

Hi,

Just wondering if there is anything to do to increase my chances of implantation. I have gone through 1 fresh ivf and 2 fets all with bfn. I met with a new re today who said my embryos were excellent as were all the maternal factors (ie. lining, hormones, etc.). I went to acupuncture, ate ...

I was on estrogen patches for about three weeks before ET and then until BFN (I would have stayed on them almost through 1st trimester). Mine were used to build a lining and then to keep it. They work well. I didn't get (stay actually) pregnant, but I had a great lining! They aren't bad at all. I ...

Hi,

Ghost told me about www.sart.org to find a good clinic in my area. It has the stats on many clinics so it may be helpful to you.

Sorry about your last failed ivf cycle and good luck to you and your wife in the future.

Hi,

My re told me (yesterday) that the PGD test is extremely controversial because it isn't necessarily accurate. He said that embryos that are considered abnormal could actually be normal. I'm not sure why and I'm sorry I can't help you more, but I would ask your re about it.

Good luck!

Thank you 2ndtimer! I really appreciate the help! I'll look into NCCRM...

Ghost- when I look at the sart stats, what is considered good? One of the clinics I found that is nearby has a 41.5% live birth rate for non-donor fresh cycles for my age group (<35). Is that good/bad/okay?

Thanks!
