Hello Everyone.

I am on the March/April buddies thread too.. But I didn't know if I was suppose to join you here as well.

I started my Gonal F March 23rd.. I had my EC on April 3rd and now Im waiting to hear if I am going to do my ET Tomorrow or wait till Saturday to do a 5 day transfer.

I ended up with a lot of eggs on Retreval I had 17 Mature eggs. WE ended up donating 5 of them to Cancer egg freezing research, which makes me feel like my cycle won't be in vain if I dont get a Positive.

The 2ww is going to kill me.. I can tell already.. I ahve 6 HPT's left over from the past couple years.. I know im going to use them...

Hugs to everyone!

Danielle :D

Hello everyone! Well, my appointment went very well. My baseline scan went well. My ovaries have definiely responded to the Lupron, they're resting until April 9 when I start my stimmies. My original stimmie schedule was to take one dose of Gonal F in the morning and one dose of Repronex and Gonal F in the evening. Well, on my way home from the appointment the nurse called and told me not to take the Gonal F in the evening and this decision was based on my ultrasound. So, I guess they're thinking that maybe it won't take much to stimulate me.....I don't know. So, my next appointment is April 12 just for bloodwork and April 14 I have more bloodwork, an ultrasound, and my pre-op evaluation, for the egg retrieval and transfer. My tentative ER date is April 20. My dh had to demonstrate giving me an injection in the rear. The nurse told him to insert the needle as if he were throwing a dart and he did! It REALLY hurt and the nurse told him, " Um, a little less force next time". So, hopefully he'll get better.

Danie454: Oh my! How exciting! Please keep us informed on when you do your egg transfer! It's wonderful that you had lots of good quality eggs! I'm praying I'll have the same!

Sofia: I'm sorry to hear about the delay. I hope that you will stay with us, I think there are a couple of other May/June people on this forum. I forgot to mention that based on my HSG, they thought I had a fibroid in my uterus, but when I had my hysteroscopy done they didn't find anything. Even if they do find something it's best to get it taken care of early.

Well, everyone I am exhausted! I didn't realize how anxious I was about my appoinment today. When it was all over it was like someone slipped sleeping pills into my apple juice! I'm going to get some much needed rest!

Hi Everybody,
This is my first post and my first ivf! I start Lupron shots tomorrow, and ER is projected for the week of 4/23.
Is it ok to say I am TERRIFIED? I am very excited and hoping everything goes perfectly. I am reading so much and getting more nervous! Staring at all the meds (and needles!) is very overwhelming!
I know I just need to relax....

I wish everyone the best.
Thank you for starting the post, hopefully you all can help me calm my nerves....

Daniella, Welcome!

Don't worry about not responding. I was bumped to Gonal-F last year and it worked. I had 9 eggs, 6 mature. Crossing fingers for you! Growing eggies vines your way. Wow, you will be the first one leading the group:)!!
You can see a website above my ticker. Go to this site and design your own ticker. Then copy the link that they show you, go to your profile and paste in under signature. GL! I will be checking tomorrow to see that ticker, better get busy:)

Luby- I don't mind. Thanks for organazing it, Monica:):) IKWYM:):)

CarolinB- Dh is vary brave. he did all the belly and PIO-butt injections. He was sweating it every day and night but I simply cannot do it to myself. I cannot hurt my body. It's weird, I will stand with the syringe for minutes and will not overce that fear. Dh can be really helpful sometimes:)

Oops, did not see page 4, did not mean to forget the other posters:)
Prissy- it's great that things are going according to the plan. You might be good responder. It's great that you will use less Gonal. I am probably looking into 600iu/day..talkiing about hormones and moods...

Danie454- Great, that's a lot of eggies. How nice of you to donate some. let us know how the little embies are doing.

Beth- Welcome. We are all a little bt scared but together we can go through this. the girls make it much easier.

Hi Jess

sorry, i've not used either of those drugs but i know that switching drugs is supposed to make a difference. The first time i had stims i produced 23 eggs and was v. ill with OHSS so this time i'll be on Menopur and at a low dose.

maybe do some research on the internet about those 2 drugs if you don't get an answer here or from your clinic.

The eggs I donated actually went to a cancer research program. Currently they have a hard time freezing just eggs ( unfert.) And women who have cancer but no spouse are forced to have the eggs fertilized with donor sperm or a friends. But after they go through treatment if they become sterile they will have to have the FET done to have children.

The Doctor that I am working with is heading up research to learn how to better freeze eggs so the women can choose to have babies with whom ever they want later in life in stead of being forced to choose then.

SO my husband and I agreed that if we got more than 10 eggs we would donate some to this cause. Apparently someone heard us and we just ended up with a lot of them.

Hello Everyone

Welcome to each of Beth, Daniella & Danielle.

Daniella - you can create a ticker at

http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/t ... signer.php

Then you just go and paste it into your profile.

Lucy - this should be amusing if you are like Monica. My friends call me an utter control freak!! and that is the ones who like me. :D :)

Danielle - what terrific news to get all those wonderful eggs and so nice that you thought of others and were prepared to donate to help research. That is such a nice thing to have done so as you say something +ve will come from your cycle. Hope it is even more +ve for you too!

Prissy - glad the scan went well. It is the first hurdle out of the way which is great. Sure dh will get better on the injections over time - practice makes perfect.

Beth - Hello - we are all nervous and scared and excited - mostly all at the same time. It is all quite confusing but everyone on the boards is so helpful and supportive. Just ask if you have a :?: and somebody will be able to help you.

Jess - afraid that I cannot answer your question re-drugs as I am down regging on Buserlin.

Hope that everyone else is doing well. I am off for a glass of wine whilst I still can.

Take good care.
Carolyn xx

CarolynB-I´m at Hammersmith too. Maybe we’ll bump into each other one day *g* Well I guess you’ll be finished with your cycle by the time I get there in May. Never mind. I had 2 cycles with the long day 2 start b4. This time round they changed the protocol.

Well maybe you’ve got any ideas where to stay in London during the tmt-period? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Last time round we rented a flat in Windsor but that’s an awful drive into London in the mornings.

Well, hope you enjoy your glass of wine. Image

Luby-thx, same to you. My fingers are crossed for you. PMA!!

Daniella-welcome to the board. Good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Danie454-wow...that’s quite a few eggs you had there. Remember to drink plenty of water. Good luck for ET. Donating your eggs to the cancer research program is wonderful. Good on you.

Missprissy-lol, hope your hubby will get better at throwing darts at you. Good luck for your next apptmt.

Beth-welcome to the board. Of course it is ok to be terrified. But you will get used to the needles etc. Good luck for your first shot.

Hello to everyone else I might have forgotten.

Take care ladies and PMA PMA PMA!!!!
